Day Fourteen | Thursday | March 24th

Roman was the one staying with Virgil today. Currently, they were both watching the spider as it explored the coffee table. Logan had offered to take it on his way to the car, but Patton still didn't want it anywhere near him, even if it was in the box. It was still early though, and Roman hadn't wanted to wake anybody downstairs up, so he was planning on taking it later. "Why were you so comfortable picking up Norman?" Roman asked

"A girl I used to know owned a tarantula. She was named Bellatrix." Virgil explained

"the girl or the spider?"

"The spider. The girl was called Drew." Virgil said

"So you like bats, spiders, dark clothes, and you can control shadows? You know that is a stereotypical villain, right?" Roman said from the couch

Virgil looked up at Roman, then back at Norman "You held him too." Virgil said, "And from the fairy tales I know, no prince has ever held a spider before."

"Princes are brave, they probably have no problem holding spiders."

"But when a villain holds a spider it's just another thing used to prove them evil? Because that makes so much sense."

"It's not that it's evil It's just creepy."

"So when you hold a spider it's brave but when I do it it's creepy? I guess when Logan holds it he's a scientist, and if Patton ever held it he'd be kind? Great, glad to know that's how you see things" Virgil said. They were quiet again. Neither of them were expecting Virgil to say that.

"Sorry," They both said at the same time

They both blinked, "It's fine, I shouldn't have said that," Virgil told him

"Yeah but you're right.  So sorry" Roman picked up the shoebox from the floor and reached out to pick up Norman, "We should probably go drop off Norman before the kids have to get to school. Come on"

"You want me to come with you?" Virgil asked surprised

"No, I just can't leave you alone in the house. " Roman said, "Sorry" Virgil nodded and got up, following Roman out the door and down the stairs. Roman knocked on the door and it swung open a few moments later, "Hey Kyle. Hi Elliot, we found your spider" Roman said at the sight of the two boys. He handed them the shoebox

"Norman!" Elliot shouted, immediately opening the box and taking out the spider, "You came back! I was so worried about you!"

"Where was he?" Kyle asked as he watched Elliot hold the spider adoringly

"Patton found him in his room" Roman said

"Oh. Isn't he like super afraid of spiders?" Kyle asked. Roman nodded, "Oh. Sorry about that"

"It's fine, we found him and that's all that matters" Roman smiled as Elliot thanked them one more time before going to put Norman away.

"Bye Kyle, I need to get to school early today. It's picture day." Elliot said before he skipped out of the house, his backpack bouncing as he left

"Who are you?" Kyle asked, turning his attention to Virgil.

"Uh..." Virgil didn't know how to answer. He knew he couldn't say the truth

"This is Virgil. He's our new roommate. He's-"Roman began to explain but was cut off by a teenage girl with her hair pulled into a ponytail entering the living room
