Babysitter/Bill

It was a rainy day in Derry, Maine much like most days that were. Bill's parents were out of town so he invited you over to help him watch Georgie. You had tucked Georgie into bed as the two of you lied downstairs cuddled up on the couch watching movies. You were just getting comfortable when you hear loud footsteps running down the stairs,

"Bill!" Georgie cries. He jumps up onto the couch holding Bill's side,

"What's w-wrong Georgie?" Bill asks him.

"I had a nightmare..something was coming after me" he cries into Bill's shoulder,

"It's ok-kay Georgie. I'm n-not gonna let anything h-happen to you" Bill tries to control his stutter to calm Georgie. The two sit sadly on the couch while the movie plays in the background. You take a look at the sadness of the two boys and decide to change up the mood,

"You guys wanna play a game?" they look up at you with curiosity. You stand up and start removing the cushions from the other couch. You throw them onto the floor, spacing them far enough to jump to and from.

"Can I help?" Georgie says removing himself from the couch.

"Of course!" He pulls the rest of the cushions and runs upstairs to grab pillows. You two sprawl things all over the floor and even Bill helped, moving the couches where you told him to. The three of you started to play "the floor is lava" jumping on all the objects throughout the house.

You started to play tag around the house jumping on all the pillows and cushions. Bill and Georgie ran throughout the house while you followed them. You spent the night running and laughing. Georgie had a smile from ear to ear. He always liked when you came over, you were like the older sister he never had.

After the two of you played tag you put the cushions back on the couch and finished watching movies. Georgie passed out on Bill's lap while the Breakfast Club played. Bill carried him upstairs and came back down to finish the movie.

"Out like a light," he says cuddling up next to you, "th-thanks for helping me watch him"

"anytime" he comes up next to you and you reach out your hand hitting his shoulder,

"tag!" you get up running towards the kitchen. Bill follows you, almost tripping over his own feet. You run silently through the downstairs part of the house careful that you don't wake up Georgie. You find yourself back in the living room and you hear nothing. You look around until you feel a pair of arms pick you up and twirl you around. He reaches down placing his hand lightly on the side of your face and embraces you in a kiss,

"You're it"
