You yawned, stretching out your limbs to get rid of the tired numbness. With little effort, you rolled out of bed and slipped on your fuzzy socks to avoid the cold wrath of the floor. It was finally summer and the days of sleeping had kicked in. Mo Peep chirped at you as he flew on top of your head. You didn't mind and continued to walk out of your room.

You entered the kitchen, still waking up and went to the refrigerator. Cooking was too much of an effort so you decided to pull out the microwaveable breakfast of your choosing and popped the sucker in the device.

"Hey (Y/n)."

"Hey Sasha." You mumbled.

The frozen back of breakfast flew out of your hand and flung up in the air. It was about to land on the dark skinned beauty's head, but she reached up and smacked it down on the ground as if it were a volleyball. She flashed you a victorious grin and fist pumped the air.

You stood there wide eyed.

"...Why?" Was all you managed to let out. You took in her bubbly presence that was brighter than the blazing sun itself. Not only that but this woman always managed to look so beautiful and exotic. She wore a yellow tank top with olive green shorts that left her muscular form exposed to the eye. Her wrists and neck were decorated with various rattling bracelets to match the hoops she wore on her pierced up ears. Her curly locks were pulled into two space buns.

Meanwhile you looked like you crawled out of a shower drain. You wanted to feel salty, but at the same time your support for supporting women was screaming and praising this queen.

"Your father invited me to study the trees at the park with him." She smiled.

"So like a date?" You raised a brow.

"No...unless." Sasha's cheeks brightened, her diamond blue eyes darting away. "I'm joking. I wouldn't not try to get at your dad, I mean a man's greatest love is always his daughter." She nodded.

"If it is a date, then it's not my business." You shrugged. "I'm glad my dad has a friend other than Professor Membrane."

"Hm, speaking of Membrane, how is that little nerd of a boyfriend?" She smirked.

"My boyfriend is great." You smirked back, opening the microwave once it beeped. "Also he's an enthusiast, not a nerd."

"Whatever, still a nerd to me." Sasha chuckled, pulling her phone out. She glanced down at you and smiled warmly. "If you have any troubles with your necklace or something, I'm here. I may visit for your dad, but you're cool too."

Your heart swelled at her gentle tone. It was gentle and encouragingly, the type of tone that spoke words of honesty. Something in it was foreign to you and because of that, you hid your smile and nodded.

Sasha watched you scurry out of the kitchen with the plate in hand. She sighed, closing her eyes. It had been so long since she was able to feel this warmth and joy after the passing of her own family except for one relative. Her eyes opened to meet a picture of a younger you and your father on the fridge. She bit her lip, trying to clear away the tears.

"Hey Sasha." Hazel eyes gazed at her.

"Yeah, old man?" She answered without looking away from the sun.

"People will tell you not to be so open and honest because it will only hurt you in the end, but don't listen to that." The older man said.

"But I thought you--"

"I was wrong. It only hurts if you let it." He placed a hand on her head and turned to look at the sky. "One day when you have your own family, you'll understand."

"I don't want kids." A teenage Sasha scrunched her nose up. She glanced around seeing a well dressed woman talking rather suggestively to another man. "Or a husband."

Her father followed her gaze and nodded, but his gaze was on a saddened child. "Then find one."
