-Day 6-

It's 3pm in the afternoon, we divided to go surfing!

Kanina kami naghiking. Many beaches offer nearby trails where you can hike to or from the water. This offers great exercise, and the water is good for cooling down after the hike.

Our lives are busier than ever, full social calendars and everyday life admin is enough to keep us at a permanent level of stress below the surface. Specially, this is our day off from our school freaking works. Hiking clears your mind and it can help you to reduce stress.

Base on my research, going for a hike reduces your blood pressure and cortisol levels producing a calming effect only nature can offer over an above the benefits of exercise alone. Yah, nagkalap pa ako diyan bago kami tumuloy.

Getting out into nature decreases negative thought patterns that play over and over in our heads such as dwelling on embarrassing or disappointing moments or thinking about everything we think is wrong with our lives. Never underestimate the 'happiness effect' of being outdoors. I must say that hiking makes us happier, why? On top of that, you get to catch some beautiful views while being immersed in nature.

Yung tipong kahit nahihirapan ka tinuloy mo pa rin ang pag-akyat mo dahil alam mong makakamit mo rin ang itaas. Parang buhay lang, madadapa ka pero babangon din dahil may PANGARAP ka na gustong makamit. Instead of letting your weakness cover you, you'll keep moving. Dahil natuto ka eh.

Alam niyo ba ano ang mindset ko habang umaakyat? Iniisip ko na nandoon ang Diyos sa itaas para mas paghirapan ko at umakyat papunta sa kanya.

Sabi nga ni Andy Rooney;
"Everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you are climbing it."

"Wala bang masakit sayo?" kanina pa niya ako tinatanong nito bago kami lumabas sa room.

"Wala po, alalayan mo ba naman ako sa bawat hakbang ko" yung tipong para akong bata na takot niya maihulog.

"Great! Let's go surfing"

"Surfing? Hindi ako marunong!"

Surfing is a great water sport. Get out on the water and have an adventure instead of just being lazy. It's our day 6 today, sinusulit na talaga namin ang bawat oras. Kaninang umaga kami naghiking kaya magpahinga kami nang ilan oras.

You can also dedicate an hour or two to take a surf lesson and then lounge for the rest of your time on the beach. Pero tatlong oras na akong tinuturuan, 'di ko pa rin nagagawa.

"You could also try any other kind of water sport, such as kayaking, jet-ski racing, waterskiing, or kite surfing" sambit ng kasamahan nila doon.

"Sure! Mas gusto ko yung jet-ski racing"

Lumapit ako kina Alja at Iza, hindi rin sila marunong sa surfing kaya sigurado akong hindi pa nila ito natututunan.

"Tara, jet-ski racing. By pair" kinindatan ko si Alja. She's freaking out.

"Magpapahinga nalang ako" sambit niya sa amin. Halatang nahihiya siya kay Gab. Pero sobrang dikit nila sa isa't-isa dinaig pa kami.

"Sali na tayo" Gab gave her a sweet smile. Sa gwapo ba naman niyang hindi kikiligin si Alja?

Dahil marupok ang kaibigan ko, sumama na sila sa amin.

"HOY IZA! BAKIT NASA LIKOD KA? MADAYA!" sigaw ko, maingay kasi ang boat namin. Ang usapan ay kaming mga babae ang magmamaneho, kaso ayaw siyang payagan ni Caleb.
