“The contenders leaving tonight are..... No One.”
Napuno ng hiyawan ang studio nang marinig ang announcement ng KSS4 na hinatid ni Anja. Tila naman nabunutan ng tinik ang mga miyembro ng 3 grupo lalo na ang mga nasa bottom na 2 ng bawat grupo. Ngunit bumalik din ang tensyon sa sunod kong inihatid na announcement.
“Next week will be the final elimination for this season. It will be what we called the Double Kill. Anja, please explain.”
“Each contender’s individual grade, which is comprised by the combined scores given by the judges and audience votes, from last week, this week and next week’s evaluation rounds will be averaged. The member of each team who has the highest average score will be moving on to the finals. Therefore, automatically putting the remaining 2 contenders of each group eliminated.”
“Woah! That is really a kill. I bet it will be tough”
“I know. Everyone should work double time and step up their games if they want to secure a spot in the top 3....”
We did the usual hosts talk for a while before saying goodnight to the audience.
Pabalik na ako sa dressing room nang di sinasadyang marinig ko ang usapan nina Tin, Jea at Toffy. Naglalakad din kasi sila sa hallway few feet away from me.
“Grabe Tin , nagpatong-patong na talaga ang problema mo.” Jea.
Problema? May mga problema si Tin. Anu ano naman kaya ang mga yun?
“You have your year end exam on Friday tapos Saturday is the 3rd evaluation. Kahit ako sasakit ang ulo ko, hindi ko alam kung alin ang uunahin.”
“Isn’t it possible for you to reschedule your exam? You’ll take it the next week.” Toffy.
“I don’t think so. Wala namang agreement ang KSS4 at MVH regarding the special treatment for the show’s contenders.”
“Hindi naman special treatment ang hihingin mo eh, konting consideration lang.”
“Guys I’m not the only one running for valedictorian, it will be unfair for them if I’ll be taking the exam later than the date they did.”
“Hay, mahirap pala talagang maging matalino at talented. Mabuti na lang talaga at kagandahan ang ibinigay sa akin ni Lord.”
Yun lang pala eh, sisiw lang ang mga problemang yan kay Tin. She’s the Queen of Time Management you know. Kahit bukas pa mismo ang exam na yan or on the same day as the evaluation, she will be able to pass it with flying colors.
“How about your boyfriend’s friend, nagkausap na ba kayo?” tanong muli ni Toffy.
Boyfriend’s friend? I wonder who that is.
