I slowly make my way to the area, ever since my father's death my strict nature has started to break apart... I was late, I was lazy, I skipped out on work, I didn't like it.

Yang was still under dorm arrest.

And fear was widespread

But what could I do? This fight was much bigger than any of us could have imagined, I knew this much. But that was about it, nothing else, we were all in the dark...

My suspicion of Cinder has only increased due to her mysterious "disappearance" from my life, she still showed up to classes but never talked to anyone but her team.

I knew the end was neigh, we were completely unprepared, it was an elaborate castle of glass, we think we're safe, but I know better. I was on high alert, I had brought all three my weapons,

The Fight was Penny vs Pyrrha, Penny was nice, but I knew she would get her ass handed to her by Pyrrha. That wasn't my concern...

If it could happen to Yang it could happen to Pyrrha

3rd person POV

Y/n finally enters the arena, the crowd goes wild as Penny and Pyrrha go at each other.

His stride was relaxed, but is posture was stiff, his eyes darted around the student row of seats, inspecting it for Cinders team. To his relief, he found them... and to his horror... Mercury was missing.

His pace quickened as he speed walks towards his team, which, also to his horror, the little red blur was missing.

'Not now... oh Oum, it's happening!' He yells at himself. Fear flooded his system and the adrenaline started pumping, he didn't want to lose anyone else.

Weiss's eyes lights up as she sees her "knight" waking down

"Y/n! Come!" She says ecstatically, patting the seat next to her, but Y/n's face doesn't change, it stays as emotionless concern

"Where's Ruby!??" Y/n yells. Both Weiss and Blake were taken aback by his sudden outburst.

"She went to get pop-"

"Which way!?"

Weiss points up the aisle, a look of concern dawning her face, Y/n whips around but Blake grabs his sleeve, sharing Weiss's concerned expression.

"Y/n what's wrong?" She says worriedly, Y/n whips around, but this time an entirely new emotion crowned his face: fear

He quickly darts down and gives both girls a peck on the cheek

"stay safe, and stay together" he says, before running up the aisle.

Both Blake and Weiss look at each other with worried looks.

Y/n runs down the halls, his lugs burnt, but he didn't care.

a silver figure jogs past him, Mercury

'There'll be time to give that bastard his due later, I need to find Ruby' he yells at himself

Suddenly he hears screaming, it was coming from the monitors displaying the fight. But he payed no attention

Barging through a door, he finds his little red rose, on her knees

"Ruby!" He yells jumping at her, his knees nearly crashing on the metal floor.

The screaming continued

"What happened!? Are you hurt?!" Y/n yells, tears nearly brimming from his eyes.

Ruby Just shakes her head not saying a word

'No I'm not hurt'

Y/n looks confused

"You're not hurt?" He asks his breathing calming, she shakes her head again

"Then why-" before he could finish Ruby's hand shoots up, pointing at the monitor

To Y/n's shock and horror there Penny lay; in the middle of the arena, in pieces.

Y/n blinks a few times, making sure what he was seeing was real.

"Ruby we need to-"

"This is not a tragedy...." Y/n knew that voice all to well...

"This was not an accident"

Back in the arena everyone looks on in shock and terror as the mysterious voice explains their plight

"This is what happens when you hand over your trust, your safety... your children..."

'Cinder...' Y/n thinks

"To men who claim to be our guardians"

"But are in reality... nothing more than men..."

"Our academy's headmasters wield more powers than most armies"

"And one was audacious enough to control both"

"They cling to this power in the name of peace"

"And yet- what do we have here?"

In his special booth, ironwood stands up vigorously, outraged by this woman's words

"One nations attempt at a synthetic army... mercilessly torn apart by another's star pupil..."

"What need would Atlas have for a soldier disguised as a cute little girl?"

"I don't think the grimm can tell the difference..."

Y/n couldn't bear to listen anymore. His eyes meet the ground as his teeth grind together.

His back straightens as he cries out in anger

"CINNNNNNNNDERRRRRRRRRRRR!" he yells

Closing his eyes, Y/n takes a deep breath.

"Find your sister!" Y/n asserts as he teleports out of the room

The grimm sirens start to blare

Y/n is nearly trampled as he rushes through the pandemonium, looking for his team

Suddenly He hears the thunder of the Atleatian ships cannons as they open fire on the city below.

Alas this castle of glass has started to crumble...
