🌨Elsa's Pov🌨
The party was in full swing.
"Queen Elsa of Arendelle." Kai announced as I walked into the ballroom and stood in front of everyone
"Princess Anna of Arendelle!" Kai announced
Anna runs into the room, waves awkwardly. Kai ushers her over to stand right next to me.
"Here? Are you sure?" Anna asked like she was unsure
"...Hi." I say as the party starts back up
"Hi me...? Oh. Um. Hi." Anna says awkwardly
"...You look beautiful." I tell Anna
"Thank you. You look beautifuller. I mean, not fuller. You don't look fuller, but more beautiful." Anna says
"Thank you." I reply. "So, this is what a party looks like?" I asked
"It's warmer than I thought." Anna said
"And what is that amazing smell?" I added
We both close our eyes and inhale.
"...Chocolate." We say together
Anna was about to say something but Kai interrupted.
"Your Majesty. The Duke of Weaseltown." Kai says introducing the guest
"Weselton. The Duke of Weselton." The duke says correcting Kai. "Your Majesty, as your closest partner in trade, it seems only fitting that I offer you your first
dance as queen."
"Thank you...only I don't dance." I say politely as to not offend him
"Oh...?" He says curiously
"But my sister does." I said gesturing to Anna
"What?" Anna asked
"Lucky you...." The duke said as he whisked Anna away to dance
"Sorry." I whisper to Anna. Then Jack comes over. "You can't dance?" He asked. "No, I-I can it's just with my powers, I'm afraid I might hurt someone if I try to dance with them." I whispered so that only he could hear me.
"Well, he was sprightly." I said when Anna came back
"Especially for a man in heels." Anna says out of breath
"Are you okay?" I asked
"I've never been better. This is so nice. I wish it could be like this all the time." Anna said
"Me too...." I tell her but then I remembered why it can't. "But it can't." I tell Anna as I stiffen up and look away.
"Why not? If-" Anna started to say
"It just can't." I say interrupting her
"Excuse me for a minute." Anna says as she sadly walks away.
After Anna left, I hadn't seen her for a while but little did I know that when I saw her again that she would push me to my limit.
