Chapter 51

Bella's POV😇

"Holy sh*t." Derek swore as he looked at my father in disbelief.

"You kept your dad's body? " He asked incredulously as he poked the so-called body.

I scowled at the comment, searching the attic for something- someone.

After Derek basically accused me of murder, I asked him to follow me to the attic after 15 minutes of reassuring him that I wasn't going to kill him because he found my deepest darkest secret, as he called it here we are...

"Boy, will you let me sleep in peace." My father groaned, slapping Derek's hand out snapping me out of my daydream.

"Sh*t." Derek swore as he took a step back, his eyes practically bulging at the sight.

"He's alive." Derek whispered in bewilderment.

I let out a laugh.

They both turned to look at me.

"How did things turn out like this?" His green eyes twinkled in curiosity while my father still stared at me, silently observing the exchange happen.

"Like this?" I repeated, avoiding to look at my dad.

"Hey honey, want some?" My mother greeted me with a handful of Nutella pancakes.

I shook my head with a small smile.

"Where did you get them?" My father asked, eyeing her suspiciously.

"Trust me you don't want to know." She smiled innocently.

It was scary how my parents almost seemed like, normal parents.

"Your dead dad is alive - and your parents are living in our attic." He gestured, interrupting the moment or whatever that was.

"Oh that," I let out sheepishly.

"Flashback time." my mother clapped her hands excitedly.

Derek threw me a questioning look, and I simply shrugged my shoulders- myself, not knowing why my mother was so cheerful.
