"Love? Can you really not make it?" Jennie asked through the phone.
'Sorry, love. But I'll try. I promise. Is just that they lost an entire song and I need to record it again' Chaeyoung said.
"Do you want me to come over to the studio? So I can keep you company?" Jennie asked.
'no need, unnie. It's your day. Enjoy it at least' Chaeyoung said.
"But it's you that I want. Birthday offs are boring if I don't get to spend it with you" Jennie sadly said.
'awww. Now I feel guilty. But I will really try to finish this so I can come to you okay?' Chaeyoung reassured her unsuspecting girlfriend.
"Okay, love. Take care" Jennie said, disappointment is evident from her voice.
'unnie, they are calling me already. I'll see you' Chaeyoung said and hung up.
"Alright-" Jennie wasn't able to finish because the line went dead.
She sighed, not even an 'I love you' nor a 'happy birthday'. Jennie slumped her body on the couch and groaned. The thought of not having Chaeyoung wrapped around her arms for her birthday is making her lose her mind. She can't believe that she's alone on her special day. Her mom was out for an emergency business same as her dad. But she's glad that they already celebrated her birthday earlier.
She sighed again. The house feels empty. She feels empty. Jennie kicked and punched the air in frustration. Why is Chaeyoung busy in a day like this?
"AAARGH! WORST BIRTHDAY EVER!" she shouted.
Kuma barked like he was saying 'same bruh'. Kai was just being his usual self, his head and body lays flatly on the floor watching Jennie be miserable.

"So we got this one, this one and this one!" Lisa showed them all the boxes that she acquired from the maintenance room, happy that the staff let her have those big boxes without questions.
"Lisa, even Hank wouldn't fit in here" Jisoo said holding a small box.
"Oh no hahaha. That's for my babies" Lisa said and took the box from Jisoo.
Chaeyoung was busy choosing a box like it's the most tricky decision that she'll ever make. Well, it is. It's a matter of life and death. Like literally.
Jennie will surely end her once she knew that she lied to her being busy and all. Preparing for her solo became more than a blessing it also became the best excuse she could think of so Jennie wouldn't ask too much questions.
"So, have you decided?" Lisa asked.
"Yeah. I think this one" Chaeyoung said and pointed on a medium sized box.
It's sure much bigger than the small box that Lisa was holding but it's also a bit smaller than the largest box. Jisoo was quite worried about Chaeyoung's decisions in life but she knows that the girl is doing this to make Jennie happy.
"Are you sure?" Jisoo asked.
"Hmm. It will be too suspicious already if we are going to use the biggest box" Chaeyoung said.
"Okay then, it's your call" Lisa said.
The three of them worked altogether to give Jennie the biggest surprise. The greatest gift that she'll receive and the silliest too. No doubt about that.
