What’s worse than a heartbreak?
When you need to leave your girlfriend behind because your parents miss you so much and they wanted you to spend your summer vacation with them.
Well not really a heartbreak, but it is for Rosie. The group just got back from Jeju when she received a message from her mom that they wanted to see her. Interestingly, Jisoo and Wendy received the same message from their parents. It wouldn’t be a problem for them since none of them has issues about being separated from their partners, but obviously it is for Rosé.
Almost all of their friends have other plans for summer. Lisa will fly to Thailand to spend time with her family. Seulgi in Japan with her parents. Joy stayed in Jeju because her parents live there. So, if Rosie will fly back to Australia, Jennie will be left alone. And she doesn't want that.
Jisoo and Wendy started packing stuff that they wanted to bring, they don’t need to pack a lot of clothes because they have a lot in Melbourne. While on the other hand, Park Chaeyoung is busy sulking in her dorm. She develops this obsession to not be parted with Jennie in any possible way when they were in Jeju, and now the tall blonde girl is having a mental breakdown whether she’s going to visit her parents or stay with her girlfriend, which Jennie strongly disagree.
“Love… your parents want to see you. You should go” Jennie persuaded.
“But… I want to spend this summer with you. Only you” Rosie softly said.
“Love… I’ll be working all summer, we won’t be able to spend time together the way you want” Jennie explained, which is true. She's determined to work hard and earned some extras during the break.
Rosie stayed silent… now she feels guilty. She’s showing Jennie her brat side and even she, herself, doesn’t like where this is going. She bit her lips and sigh.
“I’m sorry” Rosie said.
“Don’t need to say sorry to me. But you should to your parents though. Tell them I said hi” Jennie leaned in and met Rosie's eyes before she gave her a kiss.
Rosie just nodded. She wouldn’t mind bringing some stuff because of the same reasons as Jisoo and Wendy, so she doesn't have to worry about packing. Suddenly, someone opened the door and the both of them checked who it is. Wendy went inside her dorm without even knocking (like she always does).
“Babe! William already prepared everything. We’re leaving tomorrow lunch- ohh” Wendy felt the heavy aura inside the younger girl’s place.
“Sorry… wrong timing I guess. Ah see yah later!” Wendy runs outside not forgetting to close the door.
Jennie looked at Rosie.
“You scared her…” Jennie said. There is a small smile on her face.
Rosie’s pout grew bigger (but cuter), so Jennie pecked her lips. If they are leaving at lunch time, it means she won’t get to see Jennie before she set her foot on the plane. Jennie easily caught up what her girlfriend is thinking about and she had the best solution ever.
“Don’t be sad, you can call before your flight. And I’ll promise that even if you can’t see me tomorrow, I’ll be the first one you see when you come back” Jennie said.
“really?” Rosie asked.
“Yes, Love… I’ll pick you up in the airport”
That assurance is enough for Rosé to move and prepare for tomorrow’s flight. She even called her parents to inform them that she’s coming and that she cannot wait to see them. She dropped by Jisoo and Wendy's shared dorm to say sorry for scaring Wendy and agreed to sleep over to their dorm so they could all leave together for tomorrow's flight.
2 weeks later…
Jennie made her way inside the airport on time. It’s 5 minutes before Rosie’s arrival and she cannot wait to see her girlfriend after two weeks. As promised Jennie is picking her up in the airport. She went to the arrivals area and found a nice spot to welcome the love of her life, also Jisoo and Wendy, of course. A lot of people are waiting for their love ones and she’s a little bit worried earlier because Rosie might not see her when the girl arrives. So being the Kim Jennie, it is her duty to do things that will make Roseanne Park happy in any way possible.
One by one the passengers went out in the arrivals area and people are so eager to see their family and friends. One girl in particular, she keeps her eyes on the doors and wait for her girl. She holds her sign hardly because she’s excited to see Rosie. She checked her phone a lot of times to make sure that she’s waiting in the right spot at the right time. Then all of a sudden, she saw someone that made all the people stop and stare like they are some popular girl group or something.
She saw Jisoo and Wendy walking beside each other. With their shades on and with an undeniably gorgeous airport fashion, the two would really get some attention but what made her stop and stare isn’t her girlfriend's best friends. It was Rosie. Roseanne Park walks behind the two, the tall blonde girl is obviously looking for her because the girl’s eyes were roaming around the area.
Jisoo and Wendy saw her first and they already laughing their asses out because of the sign that she’s holding. Rosie got confused as to why her friends are laughing, Jennie got shy and scratch her nape from embarrassment.
“Wow! Way to go Jennie!” Jisoo said.
“oh my god, that is so cute!” Wendy exclaimed.
Hearing her girlfriend’s name made Rosie looked at where Jennie is. The tall blonde girl got excited and ran towards the waiting cat-eyed brunette. When she’s near she saw the sign and got a little bit confused.
‘WELCOME HOME MRS. KIM’ the sign reads.
“uhh… you’re waiting for your mom?” Rosie asked, confused, she looks around in luck to see her girlfriend’s mother.
“what?” Jennie asked.
Jennie is as confused as Rosie but then she remembered her sign and how her girlfriend could go over think small things. She laughed but she pulled Rosie for a hug. She put down the sign and cupped Rosie’s face and gave her a peck.
“Mrs. Kim is you silly” Jennie said tapping Rosie's nose.
“oooh... You’re way over you head" Rosie said but one cannot deny that she’s blushing.
“I know… but you like it, and you love me” Jennie confidently said.
Rosie bit her lips because she’s guilty but she smiles after.
“Welcome home Mrs. Kim” Jennie added before giving Rosie a proper kiss.

Maybe I'll post some Riley but not sure. There was a request about how Rosie told Jennie that they are having little Riley so maybe I'll think of something hehe.
