We get into the forest and dismount our horses, Merlin, Cedric, and I walked behind Arthur. Cedric uses the beater to move a branch out of the way but lets it go before Merlin can walk through and it hits him in the face.

I laugh.

"It's not funny, Liv" Merlin states.

"Just a little" I smile.

We hear a boar grunting, Arthur makes us stop. He gestures for Merlin and me to go a different way. We move to where Arthur wanted us to go. Suddenly a giant boar burst out from behind the tree. It came charging toward us. Arthur gets ready with his spear. As the boar gets closer, Arthur throws the spear at the boar but it just bounces off it. The boar was charging for Arthur.

I grab a spear from the ground and chuck it.

"Flayo fago." Merlin gives the spear an extra boost

it pierces the boar, and it collapses in front of Arthur.

Arthur turns to look at everyone "Who threw that?"

Arthur looks at a few of his knights. They all shake their heads.

"I--"

Before I can say anything, Cedric clears his throat.

"Was it you?" Arthur asks

Cedric shrugs and nods his head.

"You just saved my life," Arthur says.

"Oh, I'm gonna give him a piece of my mind!" I say to Merlin.

I begin to storm over to them, but Merlin grabs me.

"Honestly, sire it was nothing," Cedric says casually.

"I shall be forever indebted to you. You must be rewarded." Arthur says

"No, I couldn't possibly..." Cedric says

"Come on, what do you wish for?" Arthur asks.

"I desire only one thing, sire" Cedric states.

"Anything," Arthur says.

"A position in the royal household." Cedric answers.

"Good. Consider it done." Arthur says

Cedric walks over to Merlin "You can have that back now." He shoves the beater into Merlin's stomach. "Oh, sorry."

I grab the beater from Merlin and hit Cedric on the back he falls over "Oh, sorry."

I drop the stick onto his back and walk back to my horse. Merlin and I get back to Gaius's room quite late. We were both very grumpy.

"What's wrong?" Gaius asks

"We saved Arthur's life, and someone else got the credit" Merlin replies.

"Just the usual," I say "What are you doing?"

I walk over to Gaius.

"I found this inscription on the scepter" Gaius says

Merlin quickly walks over to us and looks at the inscription.

"What language is that?" Merlin asks

"I don't know," Gaius replies "Sigan would've known many languages."

"Sigan?" I ask

"It's his tomb." Gaius states

Merlin grabs two chairs for us.  I smile at him and sit down.

"Who was he?" Merlin asks

"Merlin, Olivia, he was the most powerful sorcerer to have lived," Gaius explains.
