The Destiny of two

Chapter 16 ~ The antidote

I burst through the door to Gaius's chambers and see Gaius and Gwen sitting next to next Merlin. I rush forward.

"How is he?" I ask

"Not well, he needs the antidote now!" Gaius says standing up. "Do you have the Mortaeus flower?" 

"Not exactly," I say 

"What do you mean, Not exactly," Gwen asks "Do you have it or not?"

"Well... about that we had trou..." I begin

"Wait, we?" Gaius asks.

"Oh yeah, Arthur came with." I say "Anyway when we got back to Camelot, we were arrested by order of Uther. Arthur and Uther got into a huge fight..."

"Wait why were they fighting?" Gwen asks

"If you let me finish maybe you would hear why." I snap. 

"Sorry"  she mumbles.

"Like I said before they got into a huge fight because Arthur disobeyed Uther, he didn't want Arthur to go but he went anyway." I say 

"Okay but if you were arrested too. How are you out?" Gaius asks.

"Arthur insisted I be let out, so Uther let me out because I didn't disobey him," I reply

"Then why don't you have the flower?" Gwen asks.

"Because  I was escorted out by a guard and Uther had the flower. Arthur gave it to him hoping he would take it here but instead he just crushed it and dropped it outside the cell door." I answer

"So Arthur has is?" Gwen asks.

"Yeah pretty much, I would go back down but I'm not allowed to Uthur made that pretty clear." I say

"Okay, then I'll go get it." Gwen says.

Gwen gets up and runs to the door.

"Gwen!" I shout "Be careful and please hurry."

She nods and runs out the door. When she's out the door I turn and assume her post next to Merlin. I sit down on the chair and grab Merlin's hand.

"Please hang on Merlin I can't lose you." I whisper to him

"Olvia?" Gaius says.

I look up at him. "Yes?"

"When you were getting the flower what happened?" He asks

"Well, we found this girl in the woods she had dark hair, very beautiful. She told us she was lost and she somehow knew we were there for the Mortaeus flower. Arthur and I let her lead us to it. She tried to kill us. She had magic, Gaius." 

"Are you certain?" 

"I know magic when I see it. She also said it wasn't our destiny to die at her hands." 

Gaius looked shocked by this.

I look at Gaius "Who is she, Gaius?"

Before Gaius could say anything Gwen runs back into the room.

"How is she?" she asks

"Have you got the Mortaeus?" Gaius stands up and walks to her.

"Here" Gwen hands the flower to him.

"His breathing is much worse," I tell her. "We have to hurry."

I get up and go help, Gaius. Gwen sits down next to Merlin. Gaius was stirring the antidote when he suddenly stops.

"What? What is it why have you stopped?" I ask nervously.

Gwen looks at us.

"The poison was created using magic. We may need magic to make an antidote." Gaius says looking straight at me.
