REWRITTEN—"End"

Y/n looked at the sky with solemnity, raising their hand up to the azure. The only thing close to Lord Barbatos are the winds, which pass by their place in the floating island Mister Zhongli took them to. The sea of clouds was dense from above. At this point, the star had come to a realization that the gentleman with them was Morax... or the blundering buffoon Barbatos mentioned.
Y/n could only hope that their energy could be felt even at the lands of Mondstadt.

There once was a star that crashed at the lands of Teyvat, and the star was that of a gift to the land. Many seek for its blessings, some wished to keep them close.
That was why Y/n was held with the eyes of Barbatos.

While Y/n stayed at the adepti's abode, calling out to the wind archon that took care of them since birth, the battle swirls within the insides of the Golden House, where the Exuvia laid.
Childe smirked, "Traveller, I'm sorry to break it to you, but you have to give Y/n back."

It confused them greatly as they had nothing to do with Y/n's recent absence.

"You mean the blessed star has been kidnapped again?" Paimon exclaimed.
"Oh, quite the act. It won't work though. I see those eyes wanting their blessings, all of them. I can see why you would. Poor Y/n must be scared, so scared." Childe laughs darkly and glared, spitting with venom,
             "Give them back."

There were two things to prove, for Lumine, who looked at the harbringer, glaring. The gnosis he desperately tried to find was not with them, and neither was the star.
These were the goals upon finishing the battle between harbringer and traveller, between good and bad. Once the true battle began, with foul legacy in his hand, Hydro and Electro crashed with geo, creating a shield that could help in lessening the enormous attacks Childe dealt.
He was strong, and Lumine knew he wasn't an opponent she can easily beat, but she never stopped trying.

The walk from Juyeun Karst to Windrise was long... and that was why they flew. The carver of mountains had sat Y/n on his back, flying to where Y/n belonged. An antsy feeling rose just as Y/n saw the big tree, even more so when the person they were looking for sat by.

The mountain carver dropped Y/n gently, and Venti's eyes widened with tears. Carefully, he walked, and once he was in front of them, he wrapped his arms around Y/n and wept. Y/n held back, crying with the archon they loved so.
The mountain carver flew back with a nod, and left the two to catch up.

The intense battle was easily finished by the traveller, however there was more to come as Childe unsealed the creature locked in centuries by Morax. He left swiftly, smirking at the grand finale, a great flood and a creature ready to wash everything of Liyue harbor. The Fatui helped in wreaking havoc, and the Qixing and Traveller fought them with all their might. There was no knowing where Childe went, however they knew they had to finish everything fast or else the star's life would dwindle back to amnesia. Barbatos could see Y/n pray beside him by the tree, and he could feel the need to cover their eyes, their ears, their mouth, and keep them shielded from anything unsightly.

"He's still out there," Mumbled Y/n with a scared face.
"I'm scared," Y/n mumbled. "Y/n," Venti called out, rubbing their head with affection. "You'll be safe... I'll make sure of that... Even if it costs me my life," Venti whispered. There was a threat in his voice that went unnoticed.

Y/n looked at the male with tearful eyes. It made him sad with such sorrow coated in their innocent eyes. It was then he decided that the star slipping from his hands was far more important than Mondstadt.
Branching out of his gold heart was a seed of manipulation that turned gold into green.

Tartaglia walked through a more desolated land, where there was nothing but birds and boars. He couldn't find himself, much like the star he once lost. The trudging was lengthy, but he kept going like a zombie, finding for food. He was like a deranged man at this point, and his only chant was that of Y/n's name, coated in velvet.

"Y/n... Y/n... I will become stronger, I will rule the world... and then you'll stay by my side, giving me your praises, your blessings," Childe cackled.

"When I get stronger, Y/n. I swear. You will be mine, and we'll rule the world."

💀 💀 💀

"Barbatos?" Y/n whispered his name, feeling the chains wrap around their arms. "What is..."
"I will keep you safe from that man, Y/n. If no one can see you, if no one can hear you, then he won't find you..." Venti smiled forlornly at their tearful eyes.

"Don't worry." He wiped their tears and lifted his head. Once the shadows were lifted from his fringe, teal glowed menacingly.

"I won't let anyone hurt you... even if it means taking your freedom."
