Chapter Twenty-Four

Y/N's POV

When she walked through the sliding doors and out of view, I looked around to see if there was anyone nearby. When I saw the coast was clear, I screamed out of joy.

"She kissed me, WE KISSED!" I shouted to myself, "God I need to think about where I'm going to take her on a date! Oh my god but I cant get over how we kissed, she kissed ME! Out of all people, ME?!" I still couldn't believe that happened. I touched my lips with my hand and felt little tingles and smiled even more. Her lips tasted like strawberries, which was the sweetest thing in the world. Her hair also smells like strawberries, so she must love them. I pinched myself just to make sure I wasn't dreaming, and I definitely felt the pain.

After sitting in the parking lot for a little longer, I decided to drive home. I listened to You Belong With Me (Taylor's Version) on repeat all the way home. I'm deciding to make that our song since I know we both felt the connection at the bridge. I approached the house and saw someone walking up to the front door. I couldn't see clearly who it was, but as I got into view, the person was very clear. I pulled into the driveway and rolled down my window,

"HEY LISA, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" I yelled at her, causing her to jump and spin around with a look of disbelief,

"Why the hell were you driving this early? Since when do you go out and about?" She asked walking over to me as I was getting out of the car.

"Oh, I just wanted to clear my head and decided to listen to music and drive around. So why did you decide to come to my house at," I looked down at my phone, "10:13am?"

"Oh uh, can we talk about it in your room?" She asked playing with her fingers and shifting her weight from one foot to the other.

"Sure come on." I opened the front door and was greeted with my mother cooking herself breakfast,

"Hey mom, Lisa's here." I said, she turned her head and said a hello to Lisa. She waved to her,

"Hey Tiffany, nice to see you again." She chirped.

"Nice to see you too Lisa, tell your family that we should have a dinner sometime. Anyway, have a good time hanging out!" My mom called out to us as we made our to my room. I opened my door and Lisa immediately dragged herself to my bed and fell right on top of it, letting out a groan in the process.

"Uh, you good there Lisa?" I asked as I sat on my desk chair. I heard a muffled 'no' come from her, as her head was face down. I rolled my eyes at the response and told her to sit up and tell me what's up. She slowly rolled over and started to talk,

"So you now how I like Jennie right?"

"Yea I do, you told me a year ago, how could I forget when my best friend told me she had a crush on my other best friend." I said with a chuckle, reminiscing on 15 year old Lisa telling me about her 'mystery crush'.

"Ok, well there's this guys she's kinda talking about. His name is Guy? Hi? Kai? I don't know and I really don't care. He's a senior and he's a player. He's the captain of the football team, and I don't know why he is because he's shit, can't even tackle anyone," she huffed out a breath, "I saw him last week with 2 different girls and I tried to tell Jennie not to pursue him because she deserves better."

"And I'm assuming that certain better person being you, got it."

"Exactly. But she's straight, well at least I think she is. We've never talked about sexualities with each other. If I can just figure out if she's bi or something, that means I have a shot," She lifted her head and made eye contact with me, "this is where you come into the plan. I need you to have a conversation with her and Rosie and bring up the topic of sexuality. She'll be open about it because she knows you two are basically head over heels and she'll feel like her telling you guys her sexuality will help you guys confess. Kinda showing you that you guys should be open with each other, like how she just was with you guys. So, can like this week you have that convers– what are you doing?" I looked up from my phone and made eye contact with her,

"Oh, I just texted Jennie and asked what her sexuality is because we've never really talked about it." I shrugged and waiting for her to respond.

"YOU WHAT?! NO WHY DID YOU DO THAT, I HAD A WHOLE PLAN TO MAKE IT NOT SEEM OBVIOUS!" Lisa shouted at me jumping up from the bed and shaking me.

"GET YOUR NASTY HANDS OFF ME WOMAN!" I shouted back at her.

"NO I CANT BELIEVE YOU DID THAT!" We continued to go back and forth until we heard a faint ding and both immediately shut up. We slowly looked over at my phone and saw that there was a text message. I leaned over my phone and saw it was from Jennie.

"It's from Jennie. Do you want me to read you her answer?" I asked hesitatingly. She breathed out,

"Okay, lay it on me. Tell me that my dreams are going to be absolutely crushed." She said bracing herself for the worst.

"She said she's bi..." I looked over at Lisa and she froze. Her eyes shot open,

"I swear to god, if you're messing with me right now, give me the damn phone," she ripped my phone out of my hands,

Queen J: oh yeah, i'm bi, idk
why i never told you that lol

"Oh my god. Oh my GOD, OH MY GOD!" And then her body went limp and she passed out right into my arms.

Did she really just pass out on me?

Rosie's POV

I can't get over how it felt to finally kiss y/n. Her lips were soft and tasted like vanilla. As I walked into the hospital, I took the elevator up and it stopped on the floor before the second. I watched as the doors opened and on the other side of them was Jungkook. I felt my body tense up and I dropped my smile for a straight face. He got in next to me and stayed quiet, but that didn't last long,

"Hey Roseanne, I just wanted to say sorry that you had to see me like that yesterday. I was out of line and I don't want you to actually think I'm like that. I'm better than that and I would love to show you that. Would you like to go on a date with me?" I was shocked that he even started to talk to me in the first place. I scoffed, turned my head, looked him up and down and said,

"No." The elevator then dinged and I got off and left him in there. I walked over to where my father's room was and saw that the door was closed. I saw my mother walking back over to his room too with some breakfast in hand. She made her way over to me first,

"Hey sweetie, I know you went to cool off earlier. I did the same thing when you left. I think we're both good now. Let's go in and be a family again, okay?" She gave me a side hug since she had food in the other hand.

"Okay, I think I've got my emotions in check this time. I let them get the best of me as soon as I saw him and I know I shouldn't have." I said as I opened the door for her. I saw my dad and he was sleeping. My mother placed his food next to him and then gave me my food; I thanked her for getting me some because I didn't think she would because I was gone for a while. As I was about to open my food, I noticed that there was no beeping happening every so often. I didn't know why until I thought about it and looked at my father. He didn't move at all since we entered. I then felt my heart drop to the pit of my stomach and my whole body grow cold as I lifted my eyes up to where his heart monitor was located.

There was just a flat line.
