A change (sequel to New Beginning?)

Chapter 15

So I'm gonna make Shawn 5 years older than Mallory. I know it's still kind of a big gap, but it's better then him being 12 years older than her.

Mallory's POV

After Shawn got his bag, Cameron took it and Shawn gave me a piggy back ride. We went to the car and I sat in the back with Shawn and let one of the other boys sit in the front.

"I missed you so much" I said

"I missed you too" Shawn smiled

"And me!" Cam yelled

"Naw" I said

"Hurtful" cam said putting his hand over his heart

We laughed and me and Shawn just talked about how his tour was going. We finally reached the house and went inside. Everyone greeted Shawn by yelling and there was a banner up with Shawns name.

We all just hung out outside and went for a little swim.

"Race you to the other side" Shawn said

"You're on mendes" I said

"Ready. Set-" Shawn said but I cut him off "GO" I said and started

"Cheater!" I heard from behind me, but that didn't stop me. I swam to the other side and tapped the end.

"I win" I said laughing

"Because you cheated" I heard someone say

I looked up to see Shawn already sitting down on the side of the pool

"You're the cheater!" I said and laughed

He laughed too and I pulled him back into the water. He grabbed my feet and dragged me down and came back up with me on his shoulders. Then he threw me and off. We just laughed and had a great time. We were now in the jacuzzi and I heard the doorbell ring. I saw dad go inside since he didn't swim and wasn't wet.

"Mallory, Max is here!" I heard dad yell

"Shoot" I said

"What's wrong?" Shawn asked

"I forgot that Max was gonna take me to dinner tonight" I said

"Boyfriend?" He asked

"Yeah, for about a year now" I said

"Well why doesn't he just stay here for dinner. Besides, I need to make sure this guy is good enough for my Mal" he chuckled

I laughed and got out of the jacuzzi to go greet Max. I grabbed a towel and put it around my body. The glass sliding door opened up and Max came out.

"Heyyyy" I said

"Hey" he said looking around

"I'm sorry I forgot, dad just told me today that Shawn was visiting and I haven't seen him in forever" I said

"It's fine babe" he said and kissed my cheek.

"We can have dinner here" I said

"Fine with me" he said

"I'm gonna go shower real quick and I'll meet you back down here" I said

"Alright, I'll go talk to Matt guys" he said and walked towards them by the hibachi.

I saw Shawn coming out and he walked towards me.

"Which shower can I use?" He asked

"You can use the guest rooms one. There's already towels in there for you" I said

"Ohh okay. Thanks" he said

"I'll show you" I said and walked him upstairs to the guess room.

"Thanks Mal" he said closing the door

I walked to my room and grabbed my black tights and an oversized sweater with a supernatural symbol. (Obsessed with the show)
I walked into my bathroom and took a shower. When I was finished, I put on my pjs and headed back downstairs.

Everyone was now inside of the house in the living room. I walked into the kitchen to see Sarah and Lia setting up plates.

"Need help?" I asked

"Ummm can you get another role of paper towels because these boys are pigs" Sarah said

"Hey! We heard that" the boys yelled

I laughed and went into the cabinet to grab another role. I walked back and gave the role to Sarah.

"Thank you" she said

"You're welcome" I said

I went into the living room and sat down on Max's lap since there was no room. He wrapped his arms around my waist and I rested my head on his chest. I made sure to blow dry my hair so it wasn't dropping.

Shawn came down a few moments later and we all went to the kitchen to make our plates. I ended up sitting next to Max and Matt and Shawn sat across of me.

We all talked and caught up with Shawn. Me and Shawn was telling each other stories of what we did when we were younger and it was just great. It was good having Shawn back. After dinner, I stayed back with Sarah and Lia to help them with the dishes while the boys could catch up more.

Max's POV

I don't like Shawn. Him and Mallory are getting too close. I know that they've known each other way longer than me and Mal, but still.

Shawn's POV

It's great seeing Mal again. And the rest of the guys. I just missed Mal so much because we used to be so close until my touring came along. I don't if I like Mal or if I'm just so happy to see her again. When she told me about her boyfriend, I was a bit bummed. Speaking of her boyfriend, I haven't really gotten to know Max that well so I decided to talk to him privately.

"Hey man, wanna join me for a beer?" I asked

"Uh, sure" he said standing up and following me.

I got two beers and brought it outside into the back yard while we sat on the lounge chairs.

"So you and Mal dated for a while?" I asked

"Yup" he said taking a sip of his beer

"Look man, I don't want anything weird to go on between me and you. I know you're jealous of me and Mal, but you don't need to be" I said

"Who said I was jealous?" He asked looking at me

"Common, I could see it in your eyes at dinner when we were talking and when you first came and saw us in the jacuzzi" I said

"I-i just like her a lot and I don't want her to leave me" he said

"Don't worry, she's all yours. I actually have a girlfriend and Mal knows about her." I said

I could see the relief on his face. I chuckled and he joined in with me.

"It's crazy how love makes you feel and think" he said

"You have no idea" I said
