Chapter 46

sorry it took so long for this update, the first week back to school and so much has happened and I have been so busy. please re-read the last chapter if you forgot what happened.

Mallory's POV

I got up from the ground and took a deep breath.

"I'll be right next to you" David reassured me and I nodded. We walked out and walked down the stairs. I saw Max sitting on the couch with his head in his hands and dad walking back and forth across the living room. When dad saw me, be quickly paced towards me and hugged me.

"Thank God you're okay" he said

Max looked up and I saw his eyes were red and puffy.

"Just hear what he has to say" dad said and I nodded. I sat on the couch across from Max and David sat next to me while dad sat on the same couch as Max.

"Mallory, I love you and I still do till this very moment." Was the first thing Max said

A tear slipped out of my eye and I shook my head.

"I would never in a million years agree on working with your parents to hurt you unless they had someone of mines" he said and my head shot up.

"What?" I asked

Max started tearing up and he broke down. "M-my baby" he said

"W-what?" I asked

"I'm sorry" he said breaking down. "This was when we first met and there was nothing between us. I dated a girl and we broke up. After we started dating, she called me saying I had a kid. I didn't want to tell you because I never wanted to hurt you. That's when your parents came and took her away" he said

"Max.. I- I don't know what to say" I said. It's like I was mad that he kept the fact that he had a kid, but I also felt guilty that my parents took his baby away. That's not okay.

"She was taken away when she was 2" he said "she reminded me of you so much, that it was weird" he chuckled with a sniffle.

A year escaped from my eye and I out my head down. I felt David's hand fall into my back.

"I ruin everyone's life" I mumbled.

"Mallory. Stop. It's your parents who ruins everyone's life" David said

I looked up and didn't look at anyone. "Do you guys ever imagine how your life would be if I was never in it? Because I do." I said

"Mal..." They all said

I stood up.

"If I weren't here, Max, you would have your baby still and be with someone. Dad, you and the guys would be happy and never had to worry about all this. And David, you wouldn't need to have a messed up person and get dragged into this mess. You should've just let me swallow those pills" I said and began to walk off till someone grabbed my wrist.

"I'm sick of you saying negative things about yourself. You-" I cut David off

"YOUR SICK OF ME SAYING TRUE THINGS???? look around David. Max lost his baby. Conor and the guys always need to look out for me and worry. YOU. you're actually lucky in this and look how deep you're in it" I said

He let go.

"Mallory Franta." Dad said

I looked at him.

"Don't you ever dare say those things again. We all love you and we don't care what you put us through. It's done with and we're gonna end this once and for all. Don't you ever think of taking away your life and don't you EVER think we don't love you" he said
