Chapter 18

Mallory's POV

I woke up and Hannah was on the left side of me on my bed. I smiled and covered her with the blanket since she kicked it off. I got up and did my usual morning routine. By the time I got up, Hannah was sitting up rubbing her eyes.

"Good morning sunshine" I said walking to my bed

"Good morning Mallory" she said in her adorable voice while smiling

"Here, I'll give you a tooth brush and you can wash up okay?" I said

"Okay" she said hopping off my bed

I waited a few minutes and Hannah finally came out.

"Mallory?" She said

"Yes?" I answered

"Are you gonna take me back to my mean mom and dad?" She asked

"No, I'm gonna make sure they don't hurt you again. Maybe you can stay with me" I smiled

"Yay!" She yelled jumping into my arms

"Let's go shopping today and buy you some clothes okay?" I asked

"Okay" she said

"Goooooooddd morning" dad said coming into my room

"Gooood morning" me and Hannah said at the same time.

"Dad can you take Hannah downstairs and feed her while I make an outfit for her today? I'm gonna take her shopping for clothes and stuff" I said

"Sure thing" dad said and took Hannah

I went to my closet and found this shirt that I don't use anymore and it was too small. It was a striped shirt and it was a perfect length for Hannah to use as a dress. Then with my long sleeve black shirt that had white designs, I was gonna tie it around with the design on the from to act as a layer for a dress.

I went downstairs and ate cereal with Hannah then took Hannah upstairs. I put the striped shirt over her and it fit perfectly on the shoulders. Then I ties the long sleeve around and tied her hair in a high ponytail.

She looked adorable. (Hannah does not look like the girl in the picture, just her outfit)

"You look so cute" I said to her

"Thank you" she said twirling

I laughed and decided to get ready. I asked Hannah if she wanted to watch movies again, but instead she wanted to watch me get ready.

I did my make up, hair, and then went to my closet. I decided on wearing a crop top with high waisted skinny jeans with a flannel wrapped around my waist. My hair was in waves and I put it up into a high messy ponytail.

"Ready?" I asked

"Yes" she said

I grabbed my phone and wallet then I took Hannah downstairs.

"Good morning you two" Shawn said

"Morning" we both said

"Where you guys going?" He asked

"Shopping" I said with a smirk

"Oh dear lord, I'm going away now" he said walking fast the other way

I laughed and me and Hannah went to the kitchen. The last time I went shopping with Shawn, we took 6 hours and had tons of bags. He said he would never shop with me again after that.

"Ready to go?" Ricky asked

"Yup" I said

Dad doesn't want me driving for a while since what happened yesterday.

I took Hannah and I sat in the back with her since she didn't have a car seat. Ricky and Kian sat in the front. They are gonna be shopping with us so they can carry the bags. Kian just wanted to come to get out of the house too.

We got to the mall and we went to all the kids stores for clothes. Then we bought a car seat. When we finished, we ate at the food court.

"We should go to the station and report Hannah. We can't just take her you know" Ricky said

"Yeah I know" I said

"I'll call Connor to meet us and we can meet up at the station" Ricky said

"Okay" I said

We finished eating and we headed toward the station. We saw dad and we all went inside together.

"Hi, how may I help you?" The lady at the front asked

"I wanna report a child being abused" I said

The lady stood up and walked around meeting us.

"This little girl?" She asked pointing to Hannah

"Yes" I said

She bent down to Hannah's height and said
"Hey honey, can you tell me who hurt you?"

"My m-mom and dad" she said then hugged my leg

"Who's your mom and dad?" She asked

"I don't know their name" she said

I looked down at her puzzled, but didn't say anything.

"Can I see where they hurt you?" the lady asked

She nodded and Hannah slowly lifted up her shirt revealing her stomach.

After the lady examined her, she stood back up.

"Are any of you related to her?" She asked

"No, I found her in the woods after I crashed and got lost" I said

"You crashed?" She asked

"Yes" I said

"Are you hurt?" She asked

"No, I'm all good" I said

"That's good. So are you here to just drop her off or get legal custody of her?" She asked (honestly don't know what they do so just roll with it)

"Get legal custody" I said

"Alright, come with me to sign some things. If we get a call forming us about a missing child, we'll call you and that's when you might need to go to court to fight for custody" she said

I nodded and everyone else did too.

"Don't worry, we'll take pictures of her bruises so that if you do need to go to court that there's evidence of beatings" she said

"Okay good" I said

After an hour of signing, we finally went back home.

Hannah fell asleep and my eyes were getting heavy as well, so I fell asleep too.

Kians POV

After Mallory signed all of the papers, we headed home. Mallory didn't adopt her or anything, she just signed papers that said we have custody over her and we didn't just steal her.

When we got home, Mallory and Hannah were both asleep. Mallory had her head rested on Hannah's car seat while Hannah had her head rested on her car seat as well on the same side as Mal. They were practically head to head and it was adorable.

I quickly took a picture and Ricky got Hannah out and I decided to just carry Mal in. We both set them on the couch next to each other and that's when I realized the similarity between the both of them.

I smiled down at them admiring how adorable they were and went up to my room.

My updates are so short because I have so much to do, but now it's spring break😏
