WEEKS HAD passed, and as Ron said, they stayed in his brother's house- Bill Weasley, along with his newly wedded wife Fleur.

They were such nice hosts. When Y/N and Ron showed up to their door weeks ago, they asked no questions and took them in- which they were really thankful for, because they had no idea what they would answer if they asked.

The Shell Cottage gave a very nice ambience. It was near the beach, so they had nice fresh air. It was a lonely and beautiful place, one Y/N wouldn't mind living in. She could imagine having a house like theirs- by the beach with such beautiful view of the setting sun- she couldn't get enough of it.

But although she thought this was beautiful, she doesn't really think she'll be able to move out of her dad's house any time soon.

Maybe when the war is over, if she still sees that day, and if Grimmauld place is still standing, then she'll probably stay there until she gets married- if she gets married. But with their lives in danger, the girl had no idea if she'll still live to see that day.

She couldn't help but imagine it: her walking down the isle with her arms looped around her father as he walked her to the altar. She wore a beautiful dress. The wedding wasn't huge, or fancy, it was just held in a small church downtown.

Her mind drifted off the her groom.

Silver eyes, blonde hair, a cheeky, yet loving smile.

Merlin, he would've been a beautiful groom.

Y/N looked out the window of the living room, where she sat. She watched as the sun set itself and how the waves crashed the shore.

She grabbed her jumper and stepped outside, feeling the mid December air. Hugging the fabric tighter, she walked on the sand of the beach, watching as the sun goes down, the water slightly hitting her bare feet.

Funny how they've been there for weeks, and never once did she stop worrying about Harry and Hermione. She closed her eyes, imagining the four of them once again together, happy, and unproblematic.

The girl couldn't help but smile.

"Hope I'm not bothering you or anything."

Y/N jumped at the voice, but immediately calmed down seeing Ron stopping beside her.

"No, of course not," the girl smiled, "I'm just thinking, is all."

Ron raised a curious eyebrow, "About?"

The girl gave a heavy sigh, "Stuff. About home, dad, Remus, Tonks, Molly, everyone," she said, glancing at the redhead. She knew he felt the same- Merlin, it's the reason why they left in the first place.

"I know you're worried about Harry and Hermione, too. Don't even try to hide it," Ron had said, stuffing his hands in his pockets.

Y/N saw that he was worried too, so there was no point in hiding it, "How could I not be?" she asked, "They're all alone out there, Ron, They need us."

"It didn't seem like it," the redhead scoffed.

The girl faced Ron, and took his hands in hers, squeezing it tight reassuringly, "They were just trying their best to solve this problem. Think about everything, and everyone back home. Your parents, your siblings, friends from Hogwarts!"

Ron couldn't help but frown, "We've come all this way, and we've let them down."

"We didn't," Y/N gave him a small smile, "We're trying our best to find the horcruxes and destroy them, but we can't continue to do that unless we go back to Harry and Hermione."

"I only want everything to be over," he said, "I don't want a war, I want to graduate. I don't want to die, I just want a normal life."

Y/N nodded, "We all want the same things, Ron."

Ron looked at Y/N, his eyes burning with different emotions the girl couldn't identify. His eyebrows furrowed for a moment, "I'm going to try something, stop me if you want."

And with that, the boy leaned forward, and hovered his lips onto Y/N. He stayed there, waiting for Y/N to move to kiss him, or to move away.

The girl didn't even take another second, she moved away from Ron, her hands letting go of his' as she hugged herself. She felt wrong, she felt like she cheated on Draco when in reality, he wasn't even hers anymore to cheat on him, "What the hell are you doing?" Y/N couldn't help but ask.

Ron let out a deep sigh, and straightened his posture, "Figured you wouldn't kiss me," he said, giving a teasing smile.

"Why would I?" the girl asked, "You're practically my brother!"

The redhead smiled, "Don't worry, I don't like you like that, I just wanted to see if what I'm feeling is true."

Y/N furrowed her eyebrows, "Which is?"

Glancing at her, Ron couldn't help but let out a sigh once again, "How did you know you're in love with Malfoy?"

She froze at his question. How did she know? She has no idea.

"I.. I don't know," she said after quite some time, "I don't even know when it happened, it just did. One moment, I couldn't have cared less about him, but then another moment and I couldn't get him off my mind."

Ron looked at her, "It just comes naturally, huh? Like you just suddenly can't live without them, like you would do anything to keep them safe even if it means letting go?"

It was like he was reading what exactly was in her mind, yes, she wanted to say, but decided against it. Instead, she said, "Are you talking about Hermione?"

The redhead looked at Y/N, and gave a small smile. But instead of answering, he gestured back to the Shell Cottage, "I'm heading back to fix some things before we leave tomorrow, are you staying out here?"

"We're leaving tomorrow?" was all Y/N could say.

Ron gave a small nod, "We have to help them any way we can, even if we're not the best friends, we don't leave them alone for long."

Y/N smiled at Ron, "I'm proud of you, Weasley," she sighed, "I'll follow you to the cottage in a bit."

The boy nodded and turned to go, leaving Y/N all by herself. The skies were now slightly gloomy, and she didn't mind one bit.

She thought about what Ron had said.

Like you would do anything to keep them safe even if it means letting go?

Y/N could assure him that yes, love is like that.
