Y/N AND Draco sat with Ron and Hermione by the staircase, all worried for Harry, as they never notice him leave. They don't know where he went.

He might've went to the forest- they didn't want that.

Y/N gave them a brief exchange of names, even though they all already knew one another. Draco could only give a small wave, and apologize in a low voice.

Ron was quiet, probably not comfortable with Draco's presence. But even if he was, he didn't make any move or sound to push the blonde away. Besides that, he's thought about his family. His brother Fred. Ron only hoped he's doing alright where ever he was. Maybe even pulling pranks on Merlin right now.

Hermione also told the two about what happened to Snape. Y/N never realized she had more tears to let out after so much.

Draco looked down, his mind all around. He never wanted any of this. He never wanted anyone to get hurt. Snape- even if he wasn't exactly the best person, Snape guided Draco through everything. He stood as a father figure, sort of. And it breaks his heart to think that he never got to thank the man.

The four of them turned to their backs, hearing footsteps going down the stairs. When they saw it was Harry, they immediately stood up, and faced the boy, "Where have you been?" Asked Hermione.

"We thought you went to the forest," Y/N told him.

Harry climbed down the steps, "I'm going there now," he told them.

"Are you mad?" Ron sighed in disbelief, "No, you can't give yourself up to him!"

The boy who lived stopped. Y/N and Hermione shared a glance, their eyebrows furrowed in worry, "What is it, Harry?" The bushy haired girl couldn't help but ask, stepping forward, "What is it you know?"

Harry turned, and faced her. He glanced at Draco who stood beside Y/N, not meeting his eyes. Noticing Harry's eyes on him, Draco swallowed the lump in his throat, "I'll give you some privacy-"

"No, it's okay. I know you aren't one of them," Harry nodded, giving the blonde a tight smile. Y/N looked at Harry, grateful. Draco smiled at the boy as an act of appreciation. Harry let out a small sigh, "There's a reason I can hear them. The Horcruxes. I think I've known for a while.. And I think you have, too."

Y/N furrowed her eyebrows, "Tell me it isn't what I think," she pleaded in a small voice, but Harry's silence was already his answer.

"I'll go with you," Hermione cried.

"No, kill the snake," Harry told them with a shake of his head, "Kill the snake, and it's just him."

Hermione strutted towards Harry, and gave him a tight hug, as if it was their last one. When she pulled away, Y/N leaped forward, crushing the green eyed boy in her arms, "I hope you know that you're the best brother I could ask for," she cried, pulling away to wipe her tears.

Harry gave the girl a bitter laugh, "And you're the best sister I never had," he told her, making Y/N laugh. Harry glanced at the blonde, "Take care of my sister, yeah?"

Draco didn't hesitate to answer, "Always."

The boy who lived gave all of them one last look, before turning around, and walking away.

Leaving them, possibly, forever.

It took hours, and hours of waiting. The sun has already come up, but nevertheless, the sky was still darker than it's supposed to.

Y/N slept on Draco's lap, forced by her father to take a rest. He knew she hasn't been resting well due to all the running they've been doing.

Sirius sat beside the blonde, his arms crossed above his chest as he looked at a distance, his mind running a hundred miles per hour. However, even if he had a lot in his mind, the couple beside him never left the corner of his eye. He saw how Draco softly ran his fingers through her hair, trying to bring peace to her as much as he could.

"You remind me of my brother," Sirius suddenly said, after such long silence.

Draco looked up from his lover's face, and towards her father, "Pardon?" He asked in a small voice.

The man gave a bitter laugh, "His name was Regulus. He was a lot like you," said Sirius with a nod, "He was a Slytherin, he was mother's favourite. You know, all that stuff," Sirius smiled at the memory of his brother. Oh, how much he wished he could've spent more time with him, how he wished he'd met Y/N, "He was misunderstood."

Sirius looked at Draco. The blonde didn't know what to say. However, he did notice how Sirius talked about Regulus. He talked about his brother in past tense, "I'm sorry he left too soon," he said.

"So am I," Sirius looked down.

The two once again became quiet, no longer having anything to talk about. Draco studied her face, how her eyebrows occasionally furrowed, how her lips twitch to a small smile.

Draco couldn't help but feel peaceful.

All of the sudden, murmurs were heard. Hermione came running in the Great Hall, "They're coming," she told everyone, and at that, everyone shared looks of fear.

Sirius tapped Y/N's knee, and the woke up with a haze, "Is Harry back?" Was the first thing she asked.

A sigh left Sirius' lips, helping his daughter up, "Come on."

Draco followed them out, freezing to see Voldemort leading his followers to the castle, very much alive. Y/N's eyes turned to the limp body Hagrid was holding, and couldn't help but choke up a sob.

"Who's that? Hagrid's carrying?" Ginny asked, walking through the crowd.

Voldemort stopped, looking at each and every one of them, "Harry Potter.." he started, "Is dead!"

"No!" Ginny cried, and tried to run towards Harry, but she was immediately stopped by her father, not wanting any more of his children get hurt. Losing Fred was enough pain for a whole lifetime.

"Silence!" Voldemort exclaimed. The whole castle vibrated, making all of them go quiet, "Stupid girl, Harry Potter is dead! From this day forth, you put your faith... In me."

Y/N stepped back a bit, not wanting any of this to be true.

Sirius held her, feeling the same way as his daughter.

Voldemort turned to his followers, his smile wide, "Harry Potter is dead!" He exclaimed once again, laughing like a maniac, along with his followers, "Now, it's time to declare yourself. Come forward and join us.. Or die."

No one dared to move. But from the other side, a man, Lucius Malfoy, looked at the blonde beside Y/N, "Draco," he whisper yelled, "Draco!" He said louder this time, beckoning for his son to join them.

Draco made no move.

"Draco.." It was Narcissa, "Come."

At that, Y/N turned her head towards the blonde, her eyes begging him to stay. Draco's heart broke into millions of pieces, seeing the girl he loves break once again because of him. He wished for her to not feel pain, but it was like he was the reason of it in the first place.

Draco looked at Sirius, who looked at him with a blank face, whatever Draco decided, Sirius was none of his concern. All he cares about right now is his daughter and no one else.

"Please," Y/N pleaded in a small voice.

But Draco shook his head, and stepped a foot forward,

"I'm sorry."
