THE ASTRONOMY tower was empty, to Y/N's luck.
For the past few weeks, Draco acted as if Y/N was a stranger to him- and really, she is. It was only for awhile that they talked, it was only natural for her to choose the side of her basically brother.
But for the love of Merlin, she wasn't supposed to choose sides.
The mischievous Gryffindor pouted to herself. If someone saw her, they would've thought that she was crazy. But she was just thinking.
Draco would understand. He should understand.
Y/N was sure going crazy, why did she even care about what the Slytherin prince thinks? Before a few weeks ago, they were strangers, enemies.
Letting out a breath, the girl just groaned, "Stop thinking about him!"
"Stop thinking about who?"
Squeaking in surprise, the Gryffindor turned around. The person she's been thinking about standing a few feet away from her. His eyes didn't seem mad, they seem happy.
Was he happy to see her, perhaps? Probably not, maybe happy to get her out of his beautiful silky hair that practically looks like the color of snowflakes.
Clearing her throat, Y/N turned back around to face the beautiful scenery of Scotland, "Nothing," she said above a whisper, hoping that Draco heard her so that she didn't have to repeat herself.
Thankfully, Draco didn't say anything about it, but instead, he walked forward towards the railings, stopping beside the girl, "It's been awhile," he said after a few moments.
Y/N only nodded, "Well, I didn't think you'd want to talk to me after what happened."
Draco thought for a moment. It was true that he didn't really want to talk to her. But not because he's mad, he's not mad at all. He's just a bit upset about it, even though he had no right to be upset.
But eventually, he realized that this was very childish, and that he should've seen it coming, "For a bit, I thought of you as a traitor-"
"Whoa, thanks," Y/N said sarcastically, and was supposed to walk away, but as she took one step, Draco caught her by the wrist. Y/N felt her face flush with red, and her heart beat speed up. And all because Draco touched her.
"Not that kind of traitor- I mean.." Draco trailed off, he didn't know what to say. How could he say this properly?
Y/N pulled her wrist away from the blonde's grasp, but stayed where she was, "I didn't know there were kinds of traitor," she said with a raised eyebrow, "Tell me, what kind am I? Just like my father?"
Draco shook his head, "No, not at all!" he exclaimed, "I just felt betrayed, is all."
The girl looked at the Slytherin prince, a scoff leaving her mouth, "I don't think you have the right," she said.
Letting out a tired sigh, Draco nodded, "I know, and I'm sorry about it. I'm being childish."
For a moment, they were silent. Y/N just stared at Draco, as if observing him. The blonde shifted on his feet, a bit uncomfortable in the girl's stares.
"Did I hear you right?"
At that, Draco gave the girl a look of confusion, "What?"
Y/N couldn't help but let her grin show. It's as if earlier they weren't just fighting, "You apologized," she laughed, "The Slytherin prince apologized to Y/N Black! Can you believe that?"
The blonde let out a huff, his eyes rolling playfully, "Savor it, I'm not saying it again," he said, but his smile said differently. Once again, Y/N laughed. She leaned on the railings, and looked at the setting sun. They were quiet- peaceful quiet. Y/N closed her eyes to savor the air hitting her face gently. It was refreshing to stay up there, it felt as if they were on top of the world, "So are we alright?"
Looking at him, the girl nodded, "Do you want us to be okay?"
If there was someone else with them, they would've probably thought that they were fixing a relationship problem- but it was no where near that.. yet
This friendship just started, and it's a bit too early to let it go.
Draco nodded at her with a small smile, "I want us to be okay."

Y/N walked through the corridors of Hogwarts with a smile. She stayed with Draco up in the tower for a bit to catch up. They talked about how annoying Umbridge (he surprisingly agrees) is, and since they could talk about it now, Y/N told him some stuff they did in Dumbledore's Army, the spells they learned.
She showed him her patronus. Sadly, Draco told her that he never managed to produce a patronus because he couldn't really think about anything happy, which was sad.
But now, Y/N Black tends to change that. Maybe she can give him happy memories, memories that'll make him smile just thinking about it.
The girl's train of thoughts was then broken when Harry Potter himself bumped into her. He looked disoriented- something was wrong.
"Harry! Are you alright?" asked Y/N, and helped him walk. He just stared at a space as they started to walk, "Harry, what's wrong?"
Finally, Harry looked at her, "Snape- my dad, your dad, Remus, and Pettigrew bullied him."
With furrowed eyebrows, Y/N asked, "What do you mean?"
"I saw his memories. This is why he hates me, why he hates us," said Harry.
Slowly, Y/N sank down the information. Her dad never told her anything about their past- not that he had the time, anyways. But Remus didn't say anything about it either.
Did they really? The Gryffindor couldn't help but feel bad for the poor man. Because of what the Marauders did, Severus Snape grew up so bitter. So.. unhappy.
But it can't be just that, is it?
Y/N didn't say anything. Harry walked properly now, as if he got his mind all sorted out atleast a bit.
"What's your name?"
The two looked before them, and saw the Weasley twins with a kid. The poor boy was crying as he held his scarred hand.
"Michael," the poor boy said through soft sobs.
Fred was in front of Michael, kneeling on his level, and George sat beside the boy. They comforted the little boy with words.
Y/N smiled sadly as she and Harry walked towards them. The twins were mischievous and all, of course, but they were so caring on the inside. Molly did well on raising them, "It'll be gone before you know it," she told the little boy. She received a small smile from him, and that was enough for her to know that she helped atleast a bit.
But all their smiles fell when they heard the pink cow's annoyingly sweet voice, "As I told you once before, Mr. Potter.. Naughty children deserve to be punished."
With that, Umbridge left. Fred and George stood up, and went behind Y/N, and Harry.
The girl frowned, then thought, "You know, I've been wanting to blow her up lately," she said, turning around to look at the twins.
Fred and George grinned, "You know, George, I've always felt our futures lay outside the world of academic achievement," said Fred.
With a grin, George shared a look with Y/N Black, "Fred, I've been thinking the exact same thing."
