soobin pov:

sangmin is definitely not supposed to assign work to y/n, but why would she? i've been working with her for these past few years, but she was never like this. the sangmin i knew was a kind, helpful sangmin who loved to smile. 

why would she be targeting y/n, a newbie who just joined today? just why? this is super unlike her, and i'm not liking it.

flashback - one year ago

"soobin, i like you," sangmin said. "sorry sangmin... i only see you as a normal friend..." i replied. "why won't you like me? for the past years, every year i've been confessing to you, and every year you've been rejecting me! is there someone else you like? or... or am i not good enough?" she asked. 

"no sangmin... it's none of that. you're an amazing colleague i have which i really appreciate, but i don't have that kind of feelings for you..." i said. that was a lie. i had someone i liked. maybe not liked but... someone i wanted to meet. the one who has been appearing in my dream, the one i dreamt of each and every single day. just who was she?

end of flashback

"soobin? hello?" y/n said. "ohoh sorry," i said. "did you just start day-dreaming- after i told you how much work i did you immediately drifted off- is my work pace too shocking or something?" she asked. "haha yeah," i lied. yes i lied. i mean, i am shocked but... i drifted for a different reason so- 

"anyway, you should be getting back to work, i have to finish the work sangmin gave me too," she said. "okay," i said, rolling my chair back to my seat. 

>> time skip to end of day >>

"done with the work?" sangmin asked, coming to y/n's table. "yeah," y/n said, passing the files to sangmin. she flipped through the files and said, "okay, you can leave now," and she went back to her table. 

why is she acting all bossy and all that? she's so- she's so ew now. y/n packed her stuff and left the office as i also started to pack my stuff. i finished packing and went to sangmin's table. "can i talk to you for a while?" i asked her. a smile immediately grew on her face as she nodded happily. 

she packed her stuff and came out to where i was. "yes, soobin?" she asked. "why are you assigning work to y/n?" i asked. she smile faded as she answered, "why is everything about y/n? does your life revolve around her? do you like her? why are you like this? i knew you first, but she caught your attention first, this is unfair." 

"don't try to change the subject. now, tell. why are you assigning work to y/n?" i asked. "i just can't stand her. she looks all good but she's literally seducing you, making you fall for her, i just hate her guts," she replied. "just like i expected. let me tell you, you better not hand up what y/n did and say it's yours, cuz that's just fake, and i hate it. if i find out you handed her work as yours, you'll see what happens to you after," i told her. with that, i left the office.
