ARC 3.7

Tao Yuan suddenly woke up at midnight. The moonlight let Tao Yuan see the person next to him sitting up.

Tao Yuan sat up, turned on the lamp, and then turned to look at He Liyuan, "You can't sleep because of the pain?"

He Liyuan was silent and didn't answer him. The pain was only one of the reasons. He Liyuan couldn't sleep peacefully when he thought of his future life.

Tao Yuan lifted the quilt and got out of bed. He took out his medicine box and took out a small porcelain bottle. He poured a thick liquid into the cup and mixed in some warm water from the thermos.

Tao Yuan sat on the side of the bed, and handed the cup to He Liyuan, "Drink it. You'll be able to sleep better after drinking it."

He Liyuan still didn't speak, nor did he reach out to take the cup.

Tao Yuan put the cup on the bed, then got up and walked towards the door.

"Where are you going?" He Liyuan finally asked.

"I'm going to see if Mom is asleep." Tao Yuan had already opened the door, ready to go out.

"You come back!" He Liyuan immediately picked up the cup, drank it, and then put the cup down, "I'm done drinking."

Tao Yuan closed the door, went back to the bed, and sat next to him at the head of the bed.

He Liyuan turned his head to look at him, "We're both adults and married. Don't complain to mom whenever something happens."

"What you said is very reasonable." Tao Yuan looked like he agreed. "So as a married adult, should you be tempestuous, willful, and vent by hurting yourself?"

He Liyuan couldn't say anything to refute. He didn't expect that his little wife was such a powerful person who could eat him to death. If he really didn't plan to divorce, he couldn't help but worry a little about his future life.

"Go to sleep. You'll be able to fall asleep soon after drinking the medicine." Tao Yuan said while looking at him.

After the two lay down, as soon as He Liyuan closed his eyes, he immediately sleepy. 

Tao Yuan added sleep herbs to the medicine. It's not good for him to take too many painkillers, and it'll slow down his recovery. Therefore, he must bear the pain for now.

After confirming that He Liyuan was asleep, Tao Yuan turned on the light and sat up again. He held He Liyuan's face and kissed his forehead. Tao Yuan thought to himself, don't be sad. With me, you'll getter soon, so don't be sad.

After getting up the next day, Tao Yuan helped He Liyuan wipe his face and said, "Give me your hand."

He Liyuan, used to being treated this way by him, raised his hand and let him wipe it.

Tao Yuan held his large palm, looked at the back of his hand and said, "It's recovering well."

He Liyuan also glanced at the back of his hand and was stunned. Could he have remembered the wrong hand? Then he raised his other hand to looked, and there were no scars at all.

He Liyuan felt very confused. He smashed the mirror several times with his fist yesterday. There was a deep scratch on the back of his hand as well as multiple small wounds. No matter how fast it heals, it should scar first. Why are there no traces? It looks like he had never been injured.

"Isn't my medicine powerful?" Tao Yuan triumphantly looked at him, "What do you think will happen if you use it on your face?"

He Liyuan looked at him with wide eyes, "Can this medicine be used on my face?"
