Diff eye color and skin tones.
Blossom and Brick never saw eye to eye. The two always tried to get the better score or the better class president. They were rivals. Not enemies. Yes they didn't like each other but would always help each other out if its for the good. Or so one thought. Blossom knew Brick didn't like her.
So she would try hard on test or on school dance. Everything she did was perfect. She was sitting tall and waiting for the teacher to give her test grade. "Very good. Like always Blossom." The teacher said as Blossom smirk and turn to Brick as he receive his paper.
She then flip her page to him. "I got a 99%. What about you Brick?" She asked waiting for an answer. Brick look then and groaned. "Looks like you beat me." He rolled his eyes. Blossom smiled in victory as the bell rang. She got her stuff and left the room.
Brick watched her leave as he turn over his paper. '100%'. Now everyone thinks that Brick and Blossom don't like each other but there is one lie. Blossom doesn't like Brick. That was it because Brick likes Blossom.
He would do anything just to see her smile. He would do anything just to see her get excited. He loved the way her brown eyes light up every time she got a perfect score or a better score than him.
Brick left the classroom and went to his locker. He heard Blossom laugh. Her turn to her and he saw her dark skin glow under the light. He only saw her. Soon Blossom caught him staring. She kept talking but her eyes never left his hazel eyes.
He freaked out then saw the girl behind Blossom. 'What was her name? Lucy? Macy? Morebucks? I think so. Let's hope so.' He thought as he shut his locker and passed Blossom quickly to go to the random girl. "Hey Morebucks." He grinned as the girl next to him blush.
Blossom saw as Brick left to go to Princess. She frowned before turning away. She knew that the stare was meant for her. Or so she thought. She didn't want to believe because well it was Brick Jojo! The guy that doesn't like her. She watched as Princess and Brick walked away talking to each other.
She sighed before turning to her friend Robin. "I don't think i want to fight for first place anymore." Blossom mumbled. Robin stared at her best friend in disbelief. She was shocked. She never thought she will hear those words come out of her mouth!
"Wh-what?" She stutter. Robin look at Blossom. The girl who loves being in first place. The girl who always fights for right. The girl who always wants to beat Brick. "Yeah, I think I need to focused on getting good grades instead of trying to beat someone else's grades." She explained.
Robin nodded. "That's okay. I will support you no matter what." Robin smiled at her. Blossom gave Robin a hugged. "Now lets go before we are late to class." Blossom grinned as she grabbed Robin hand and started to drag her to their next class.
Brick finally got rid of Morebucks. He started to walk to his next class but soon he bump into two people. He look up and his eyes met pretty brown eyes. He saw Blossom long orange hair. He blushed as he realized as he was way too close to her.
"Shit. Sorry." He said as he slightly nodded to Robin. Brick noticed how Robin looked at Blossom then to him. "Actually you two need to talk. I will tell the teacher that someone very important needed you two." She grinned as she patted Blossom on the back.
She walked away as Blossom had her things in her hands. The two stood there awkwardly. "Here. I have this cool spot." Brick said as he took Blossom things and started walking. She stood there for a few seconds before starting following behind him.
He open a janitor door. Blossom opened her mouth to tell him it was a bad idea but Brick caught her off. "It's okay. They haven't used this closet since 2 years and its clean. I come here every time to think." He said as he walked in. Blossom followed behind and she saw how neat the room was.
There was a beanbag and a small desk. There was snack and a small fridge. Brick pulled out a chair and set it out as he put Blossom stuff on top of the desk. She sat down on the sit as she gave a small smile to Brick.
"Actually Robin just wanted me to tell you that i don't want us to have competition." Blossom said as she waited for Brick reaction. He stayed silent for a few moments before he spoke up. "Actually i faked all my grades." He said as Blossom looked up at him in shock.
"Hu-huh?" She frowned as Brick got up and opened folder. He then put it in front of her as she saw all his test papers. 100%. She couldn't believe it. She always thought that she beat him but he always won. There was never a competition.
Blossom felt humiliated. "Before you say anything. I never want to embarrass you. Actually my mind just been you. I always wanted to see you smile. I did all of this because I love the way your eyes shine. The way you smile. I like you Blossom. I always have." He finished.
Blossom could feel her face heat up as she looked away from him. She didn't know what to feel. "Uh oh wow." She said. She looked up at Brick as his face was red. She giggled and got up. She lean down to Brick as he slowly back up. "Then lets make a new competition right now." She said
Brick slowly stared at her eyes. "And that should be...?" He said as he licked his lips. Blossom smiled. "Who plans a better date." She kissed his cheek before grabbing her stuff and walking out. Brick felt his face burn as he grinned to himself.
Blossom couldn't believe she did that but she felt happy. She smiled to herself as never felt happy. Today was sure going to be her favorite day and she couldn't wait for her date with Brick.
