20. obstacles

romance was something taehyung only knew through the books he used to read, or that one time he saw a maid and guard tenderly kissing in the hallway of the palace- it was something foreign to him.

but not anymore.

to be cared for, to be cherished and to be considered as someone worth more- jungkook showed him a new world.

jungkook was stoic at times, the way he carries himself was so alpha like, but taehyung sees the way that melts slightly when he is with him- the gentle touches and care he holds or the little gifts he give taehyung almost everyday- it made taehyung feel things he cant describe.

and taehyung felt more independent, more in control of himself- he even keeps his mom's pendant safe in his cupboard, having learned to go about without that constant reassurance against him.

as for taehyungs daily life, he started helping in the nursery as well as namjoon when the alpha needs a hand. his days were thus very productive.

and with the help of seokjin, taehyung has ventured a bit into cooking- making it a mission to make something and take it to jungkook, whenever he is free.

maybe those are just an excuse to meet the alpha- eventhough he didn't need one, it makes things less awkward.

spending time with jungkook was always blissful- they talk, they go for walks, they cuddle, they kiss...a lot.

taehyung is not that timid in the "kissing" department anymore.

it was helpful that jungkook is patient and never pushing with him- probably coz he is aware of the omega's inexperience- would allow taehyung to take the lead occasionally until his alpha loses it and pins him to the nearby wall, making out until taehyung is weak in his knees and panting out breaths.

so, taehyung came to the conclusion that he loves kissing, more like he loves kissing jungkook so much.

just like that, this evening taehyung was on his way to jungkooks home with a few hotteok's in his basket- dressed in a white loose shirt and black pants, a few of the courting accessories jungkook gave, adorning his ears and neck.

taehyung was happy, but a bit queasy- thanks to the heat suppressors he took yesterday.

the omega spotted jungkook outside the home from quite a distance away, and that had him increasing his pace unknowingly in excitement.

meanwhile jungkook had his eyes already on the omega, a gentle smile on his, hugging the other when he came barreling to him with a laugh, kissing on top of that rosey mop of hair.

"i missed you" taehyung had breathed out, nudging his cold nose against the alphas neck to nuzzle.

"we just saw this morning, cherry" the alpha said in amusement, all the while craning his neck and hands a soothing grip on taehyungs waist.

"mm-hm too long" the omega mumbled,  a teasing bite on the crook of the alphas neck that had the other hiss.

then the alpha had swiftly lifted taehyung up by the back of his thighs, the omega yelping at the suddenness- one hand clutching the alphas shoulder and the other secure around the basket, as jungkook made the way inside, closing the door behind.

taehyung gasped at it, the knowledge that jungkook can lift him like a feather a huge turn on or was it the suppressed heat hormones?

thankfully jungkook took away the basket from the omega and placed it on the table- taehyung all over him the next second.

jungkook growled into the kiss, taehyung going pliant in his arms, giving out nothing but breathy whimpers and whines, hands tangled in the alphas dark locks.
