"What, did daddy tell you something about the tie beliefs?" Amanda asked though all her focus on the games we were going to play.
"Are you ready?" Ammon asked sitting next to me.
"Depends on the game." I said.
             "The same usual." He smiled.
The teenagers and the elder were separated for different activities, much as I was a teen, I felt like I don't belong here, I deserve being on the other side. I don't know how to act like my age cause I have never acted my age, it was never an option in my life. When I was a little girl, I had to be the mature, be responsible and exemplary since I was the first born and I had to live to my mother's expectations. At just 16 I became a wife to one of the most rich men from the most respectable families so I had to grow.

Looking at all of these teens in the circle was nice though, to have space for mistakes, live a life and be happy. I was jealous.
"Valerie!!!" The bottle pointed at me.
            "Truth or dare?" They asked.
            "Dare." I smiled
They all laughed as they banged the floor.
"We dare you to kiss Ammon." One of the girls said.
Everyone shouted apart from Amanda and Ammon. Well and I, they both looked at me waiting for the kiss.
"She can't do that, she is married." Ammon said.
"It's just a game." They all disagreed.
"I have a better dare," Ammon said then turned looking at me.
His looks were a bit cold, I couldn't kiss him and I knew the one coming wasn't easy either.
"I dare you to go confess to our mom that you  romantically love Amanda." Ammon said.
I turned looking at Amanda. She was also looking at me worried.
"I would rather see you kiss Ammon than you telling mom that." Amanda quietly told me. Their mom was scary, tough and woman of reputation, her learning about that would be the end of our relationship.
"I will tell her." I said
"She is in the upper living room preparing for the next event." Ammon said as I stood up.
"Are you happy now?" I  heard Amanda angrily  yell at Ammon. I didn't turn to look at them, I just continued up stairs, on reaching the upper living room, she wasn't there, the maids were busy arranging it for the event.
"Do you have any idea where Mrs  William has gone ?" I asked one of the maids.
"To the behind balcony." She said then returned to her  work.
But I wasn't sure which one was the way to the balcony, this house is too big and this has been the longest I have ever been here, for the time I escorted Amanda here I always stopped outside or downstairs.
"To your left." She said when she saw me not taking any step, I guess I looked stranded.
"Thank you." I said with a smile then moved immediately.

"Shouldn't you at least pretend." Hayden shouted angrily.
I immediately stopped moving.
"Can't you see am trying, I wouldn't have organised all this if I wasn't trying." Mrs William shouted back.
I was just four steps to reaching the balcony, I stood wondering why they were fighting.
"Aren't you worried about the kids?" Hayden asked.
"I am , I'm worried about the kids and the businesses." She angrily said.
"Why should you worry though, if it comes out that we are divorced I will be the bad guy so go back to being busy and let me be." Mrs William yelled.
It was a shock to me, what if Amanda or Ammon or the other two kids heard this. it would be really heartbreaking.
"Megan." Hayden called as she walked away.
"Don't call me in that tone, I am no longer your wife." She said.
I hid behind the curtains as she moved away, seeing me or realising I had their fight would be most awkward situation. I heard her foot steps fade away but I wasn't hearing those of Hayden meaning he was still at the balcony.
"Fuck!!!" I wanted the ground to swallow me when my phone loudly rang. I hurriedly rushed turning it off as I prayed Hayden had either not heard or gone already. It was silent again, my eyes so tightly shut just really hoping but I felt the curtains being swung open exposing me.
"You can open your eyes." Hayden calmly said.
As ordered I began to open them slowly till they were fully open looking at him.

"I didn't mean to over hear your argument." I said as fast as possible.
"I didn't say you meant to either." Hayden said. His voice a bit low, he seemed sad and in pain.
"I'm sorry." I quietly said feeling his pain.
            "Thanks." He said.
My phone began ringing again, I looked at it and it was Andrew.
            "Pick it up." He said
            "I won't..."
"I know." He interrupted before I even completed my sentence. He then walked away. I remained looking at him till he disappeared.
            "Hello?" I answered the phone.
"You're not at work and neither are you picking up the phone." Andrew said.
"Do you need me for anything?" I asked.
"Where are you Valerie?" He asked.
"At a birthday party." I said.
"Are you with Leon?" He asked, I kept quiet for a while just wondering why he kept on asking these questions. What does Leon have do with this now, no how does it concern him if he is with me.
"Can't I get an answer?" Andrew asked.
            "No, I'm not." I replied.
"I am coming to get you when the party is done." Andrew said then hanged up the phone. I remained looking at my phone just confused why Andrew was acting the way he was.

            "Val.." Amanda called approaching me.
"Did you tell her?" Ammon from behind loudly asked.
"Stop it Ammon." Amanda shouted at him.
"I am just concerned about you Amanda." Ammon said approaching us.
"Well am sure I don't need your concernment." Amanda shouted.
"This is enough." I spoke up.
They both turned looking at me,
"Unlike you Ammon I am sure I can protect my best friend not just  financially but also emotionally." I spoke up for what I care about, this is new.
