The door knock at the door , Valerie raised her head looking at it , her eyes a bit swollen yet more tears still filled in. She would like to say come in but that energy gone as she cried . She remained looking at the door silently just waiting for him to open it . Andrew as well opened the door , he stood quietly leaning at the door frame his eyes on her , from his looks it was clear that he had cried enough as well.
" i have called the driver to pick you and drive to the doctors " he said calmly .
Valerie shook her head accepting .
" i am sorry i am not coming along like we had originally planed " he added .
Still not saying a word but just shaking her head .
" we shall meet today during lunch with Hayden and Leon " he still said
" then we shall talk , hoping you will tell me all about it from the doctors " he added .
She shook the head gently still , her eyes looked to his face and tears on a vague of pouring out her eyes .
" see you then " Andrew said then continued his way .
She stood up readying her self , applying makeup to cover the swollen eyes and putting on the everything is alright face.
The first thing to get done with was getting the casts off ,she arrived at Dr Lee's office .

" Mrs Smith" he called standing up ,he seamed very surprised to see her . She looked at him with a smile
" have a seat" he said with a smile as well ,it so clear on face that he was worried
"thank you " she said sitting down
" good afternoon " he said
" you seam to have forgotten that I had an appointment today " she said ,very calmly.
Dr Lee looked down to his hands ,
" I am very sorry about your mother in law " he said
" I know she didn't get it that easily ,she must have threatened you first for you to give her that information " Valerie calmly said.
Dr Lee looked at her ,still feeling bad about it .
" it's not an excuse ,I would have not weakened " he sadly said .
" you did what you had to do , either way I could not have hidden it forever " she said .
Dr Lee was so impressed and touched by how understanding she was . on the other side was very pitiful of how hard this must be oh her .
" are you okay " he sadly asked. Valerie kept quiet for a while collecting the courage to say how she was .
" I am fine " she said
" physically your not fine and that's not what am asking ,I am asking mentally " he said
" I know , and I a fine " he still lied .
Dr Lee knew no matter how hard he asked ,the answer would remain the some even if it was a lie .
" let's get started, shall we " he smiled at her. She shook her head agreeing.

Not for long ,they were done with all the x-ray ,the head scan all the prescription for the new medication .
By 1:20 PM ,Valerie was already at the hotel she was supposed to have lunch at with Andrew ,Leon and Hayden .
Hayden and Leon were already seated waiting for them .
" there she is " Leon brightly said as soon as she was escorted to the table . Valerie smiled brightly as well .
" thank you " she smiled to the waiter that escorted her .
" forgive me for making you wait so long " she said to them
" have a seat " Hayden happily said as he pulled the chair for her .
" thank you " she said .
" have you waited for so long " she asked .
They quietly looked at her with smiles , not once did they mind waiting for her .
" it's never a bother when your waiting for someone beautiful and special " Hayden smiled .
" don't you agree Leon " Hayden asked , they smiled looking at each other Leon and Hayden .
Valerie giggled ,it so nice of Hayden how he always makes sure she feels special or important in one way or another .
" what had happened to you phone " Leon asked
" I don't know " she said totally lying .
" we were only allowed to visit while you were at the hospital and when you were discharged Andrew declined all visits " Hayden said more of complaining .
" He kept saying he does not want the visits to attract the media " Leon said , not hiding how irritated he was by Andrew's words .
" it was nothing serious " Valerie did not know how to lie about this .
" just admit that he might have hid your phone because he was too jealous " Leon said mocking .
Hayden giggled at this seamed like he was on the some side with Leon .
Much as she was just smiling but she knew that she is the one who just blocked every one just to keep Andrew in his good side towards her .
" come to think about it ,when visiting hours to all male where limited " Hayden added being sarcastic .
" well ,it's not as seams " she said in a way of trying to defend him .
" when did you start to defend him " Leon asked bending forward to look straight in her eyes .
Valerie laughed then sipped the water in front of her ,trying to avoid Leon's eyes.
" did you plan to go against us " she laughed ,they all laughed as well.
" US...." Hayden and Leon said at once quoting her word .
Valerie kept silent with a smile on looking at him ,honestly she was shocked about her on words as well . At the some time not fully taken in the jokes the guys were making ,her eyes looked at her watch from time to time ,she wanted to see Andrew basing on how he will act she will be able to know if he is somehow fine and they are on good terms .

" since we are talking about the both of you weren't you supposed to be here together " Hayden asked .
" some thing came up ,I expected him to be here as well " Valerie said . she looked at her watch and it was half past two . Leon and Hayden watching how eager and not settled she was . It's either she has somewhere else to be after this lunch meeting that has not yet started because Andrew is not here yet or its that she worried about why Andrew is not here yet ,she can't wait to see him so obvious to Leon as well as Hayden.
Hayden got out his phone calling Andrew but no one was picking up .
" he is not picking up " Hayden said .
Valerie got his phone the phone to call ,before she could call ,Andrew himself was already calling her .
" it's him " she brightly said .
" Hello .." She answered
" it's not Andrew ,it's Steph " the soft calm voice replied .
All the joy ,the brightness from Valerie disappeared . In just seconds it was like she was drained even of colour and energy . The disappoint all over her face ,Hayden and Leon become concerned .
" Valerie.... Val.. " they both called.
" Hello ...." Stephanie called not hearing a sound from Valerie.
" yes , " she finally found the strength to reply
" Valerie " Stephanie called
" yes " she replied ,
" Andrew is at the hospital ,he has been involved in an accident " Stephanie said .
