[111] Afraid to reveal the pregnancy due to fear of a divorce - Aug 23 2021

Jungkook and Jimin are in an arranged marriage. Initially, Jungkook was a bit distant from his new husband, keeping their interactions to the minimum. Jimin has always dreamed of a marriage where the alpha husband would be a bit protective and possessive of their other half. In a way Jimin could see Jungkook was so, especially from the taller man's facial expressions and body language. Jimin has caught the man poking his tongue against his inner cheek whenever the boy would be talking on the phone with his best friend Taehyung. Jungkook has only met the other boy once at their wedding and the man didn't care too much for their friendship. Jungkook wasn't against it, in fact he encouraged Jimin to keep good friends around him but Jimin could see how uncomfortable Jungkook felt with the other boy being clingy with Jimin whether it was at the wedding or over video call and so Jimin tried to keep their clinginess with each other to the minimum.

Jungkook wasn't the first to initiate anything physical between them, which Jimin didn't like, because the boy was shy and didn't know how to verbalize that he would love to be more closer, physically, with his husband. But almost 7 months into their marriage, Jungkook started cuddling him in his sleep and pecking Jimin's forehead before he left the house and for now, Jimin was content with what he could get

They had been married for almost 4 years now, it would be their 4th anniversary soon in a couple of weeks.

Currently Jungkook and Jimin were on the couch, occasionally talking casually while the taller man worked on his laptop. Jimin was working on his laptop as well when he received a message from Taehyung - it was a video of TaeYoHe -Taehyung's, Hoseok's and Yoongi's daughter making faces while she ate some sour fruits. Jimin laughed

"What's so funny, baby?" Jungkook asks amused at the sudden laughter. He smiles as he looks at the boy. Jimin looked so beautiful - happy Jimin was indeed beautiful but the sexy, vulnerable Jimin who he got to get under him at night, now that sight was the best sight to wake up to

Jimin smiles as he shows Jungkook the video. The man chuckles

"So she likes sour things, just like you huh?" Jungkook says pulling Jimin a bit more closer to him before pecking his forehead

Jimin hums a bit, his smile suddenly leaving his gorgeous face making Jungkook confused

"What's wrong babe?"

"J-Jungkook..." Jimin stutters a bit as he faces the man

"....it's been almost 4 years of our marriage right?"

Jungkook smiles "...yes... 4 wonderful years..." the man leans down to softly peck the boy's lips, Jimin could feel a chill run down his spine "...can't wait for many more..."

"Have you..." Jimin stops making Jungkook confused

"Have I what?"

"Have you thought about us having kids?" Jimin finally asks the question that has been in his mind for over a year

Jungkook is quiet

"J-Jungkook..."

"I don't really care for kids... I am not good with them and they are so messy and loud...they would take you away from me.... I prefer to just have you to myself all day, everyday...." Jungkook kisses the boy's forehead

"So.. you never want kids..." Jimin asks a bit hesitant

"...yea... I'm sorry, I don't think kids are in our future..." Jungkook says as he tightens his hold on Jimin a bit

"But..."

"You wanna watch a movie or something?" Jungkook interrupts the boy

"S-Sure..."

It was the night before their 4th wedding anniversary. Jimin had just found out he was 2 months pregnant that morning. He wasn't feeling well for a few days now and Taehyung had suggested to do a test which turned out to be positive. The boy was of course happy but the second he got reminded of Jungkook's words before, Jimin was afraid

"I don't know what to do mom... I'm scared... What will Jungkook do when I tell him I'm pregnant? He doesn't want kids.." Jimin says on the phone

"Jimin..listen.." Jimin's mom speaks only to be interrupted by Jungkook's voice and Jimin's grip on his phone loosens

"You are pregnant?!"

"I..." Jimin stutters running around to face the man

"Why are you scared to tell me?" Jungkook's expression is unreadable

"I...I was afraid you would make me abort the baby or ask for a divorce if I refused..."

Jungkook stood speechless for a second and Jimin could see the hurt and disappointment in Jungkook's eyes

Suddenly the man's phone rings and he answers it

"O-Okay..." Jungkook says into the phone before cutting it

"J-Jungkook ..."

The man turns around without a word and leaves

Jimin panics at that - why did he just leave without a word?

Two hours later, Jungkook is back

"Here...." Jungkook says handing Jimin a document.

Jimin was scared

"Please don't leave me ..."

Jungkook sits down next to the boy, holding his hand and caresses it softly

"Read it..."

Jimin calms down a bit and opens the document

It was Jimin's medical documents - apparently Jungkook had gone to Jimin's parent's home to take the documents, Mrs Park had called him to come over

"W-What is this?" Jimin asks confused

Jungkook had a small accident when he was in college and at that time the doctor had said that he might have trouble conceiving a child - he wasn't impotent and was completely healthy, just that Jungkook might have to try for a longer time than normal couples to get pregnant.

Many of his other proposals he has received got canceled due to this fact and Jungkook really didn't care about it. When Jungkook's parents had informed Jimin's parents about the man's condition, that's when Jimin's mom also reveals that Jimin had an infection when he was kid and was informed that Jimin might not be able to conceive as well - Jimin was in the category of 75% possibility of never conceiving.

Jimin had no idea about his health status as no one had told him but Jungkook knew about his and Jimin's as well. That was the reason why Jungkook discouraged Jimin about having babies.

"...I'm sorry I was selfish and for hiding the truth... please don't leave me" Jungkook cries

Jimin smiles as he hugs the man "... I won't.... I love you... but... I feel kinda betrayed... you knew all along while I was left in the dark, thinking why the person I loved didn't want to have a family with me..."

"I know... i'm not proud of hiding it from you... it was not with a bad intention... God knows how much I love you... that's why he is giving us a child to strengthen our love..." Jungkook says making Jimin cry

"I'm sorry you had to go through the pain of the truth alone and thank you for protecting me from a possible depression..." Jimin says as he cries

"I love you so much Jimin... please trust that..."

"I know... I love you too... and thank you for our lil bean..." Jimin smiles feeling Jungkook's rough hands softly caress his tummy

"This is the best anniversary gift I could have ever gotten... thank you my love..." Jungkook whispers against Jimin's lips "...I love you Jimin"

"I love you too Jungkook"
