Jungkook and Jimin had been dating ever since college. The two were currently working,both in different companies. They started living together after Jungkook got a job, both equally contributing to the apartment in every aspect.

Jungkook had first asked Jimin out as a dare by his seniors(Yoongi and Hoseok) in college but seeing the boy's shy smile, he had confirmed that he wanted to give their relationship a try. Jimin was happy - he had liked Jungkook the second he saw the man dance a solo in their inter college competition and couldn't stop drooling about the bunny man to his best friend Taehyung. Taehyung had then asked his boyfriends to make Jungkook do a dare. Yoongi had confirmed earlier that Jungkook was no exception to staring at Jimin whenever they crossed paths.

Jungkook was a bit reserved. He had difficulty in expressing his emotions, Jimin was the complete opposite. It was not like Jungkook didn't care, in fact he was very protective and caring of the tiny boy. Jungkook, even though his personality would be to snap at anyone disturbing him, would always pay attention to Jimin no matter if he was sick, tired or burdened with his work. He never let Jimin feel neglected, the tiny boy was the same towards him as well.

In short, the two understood each other and made their relationship work.

For the past two weeks Jungkook had been avoiding Jimin - he would be coming home late from work and then going early. Jimin understood that sometimes work and deadlines could get hectic and there would be times when the two wouldn't be able to spend much time together but what upset him the most was that Jungkook would spend time with A/N, who had gotten to Seoul two weeks ago. At least Jungkook didn't lie to him about that. A/N was Jungkook's childhood best friend and the two had a lot to catch up on.

Jimin sighs seeing Jungkook's message that he would be late again that day - apparently A/N needed his help with something important.

"Come on, Chim... let's go to your favorite restaurant..." Taehyung says once he realizes that Jimin is upset that Jungkook wasn't giving him time "....I'm sure the mochi there will turn your frown upside down..."

Later

Jimin was done with dinner and just about to head to the washroom when he saw Jungkook talking to the manager

"Yes... just place this engagement ring anywhere in the cake...." Jungkook smiles

"Oh... that's a beautiful ring... your fiancée is very lucky..."

Jungkook grins at the manager but before he could say anything else, he sees A/N walk towards him "...okay.. he is here... please hide the ring in his cake..." Jungkook says and the manager nods and hurries away

A tear rolls down Jimin cheek

How could you do this to me? Where did I lack? Does our 3 year relationship mean nothing to you anymore? You fell out of love so soon in two weeks? - Jimin couldn't help but cry as he sat waiting for Jungkook in the living room

Later

Jungkook walks in 2 hours after Jimin got home

Jungkook looks at the boy surprised

"Babe... why didn't you sleep yet? I told you I would be late right..." Jungkook says walking towards the boy and then stops when he sees the boy's red eyes "...d-did you cry? Are you okay?" Jungkook rushes towards the boy but Jimin pushes him away

"B-babe..."

"How is A/N?" Jimin asks suddenly "....did he like the ring?"

Jungkook's eyes widened "...h-how did you know?"

"I was there...at the restaurant..." Jimin says looking at the man searching for a hint of guilt and regret but gets nothing

"Oh...." Jungkook replies "....well he will be buying another ring because he choked on it..." Jungkook chuckles "...he can't give that to Y/N..."

Jimin looks at him confused

"Huh?"

"Y/N... A/N's girlfriend... He bought the ring and planned to propose to her by hiding it in a cake..." Jungkook chuckles "...we acted it out today to see if it would be a choking hazard...." Jungkook shakes his head "...it was...thank God the waiter knew the heimlich maneuver..."

Jimin stares at the man

"So he asked you to hide that ring in the cake for him to test out? You didn't hide the ring to propose to him?"

Jungkook frowns "...why would I propose A/N when I love you? Are you insane?!" Jungkook chuckles and then he frowns again "...wait! You thought I was going to propose to him? Is that why you cried?"

"I'm sorry... you have been avoiding me for the past week... and I felt hurt..." Jimin pouts, making Jungkook's gaze soften "...and then today I saw you asking the manager to hide the ring... I... I just assumed.... I wanted to be the only one you propose to..."

Jungkook gently cups the boy's face and wipes away the lone tear

"I love you and I will only propose to you..." Jungkook says kissing Jimin's forehead, and the boy smiles "...does this mean you are ready to marry me?" Jungkook says stepping back a little to face the blushing boy

"...I... Well, it's not like you are ready so..."

"Who said I'm not ready?" Jungkook asks, making Jimin look at him surprised "....I'm ready...I was ready to make you mine the day we first slept together... I knew then that I didn't want to be with anyone else..." Jimin blushes "...you complete me in a way one else could... and believe me it's not just physical... your entire existence makes me happy and I wouldn't trade it for the world...." Jungkook cups the boy's face again "...Park Jimin, I love you and I'm ready to marry you..." Jimin's heart beats fast "...question is are you willing to be only mine and be to be only yours officially?"

Jimin smiles, his eyes disappearing in that beautiful eye smile that Jungkook died for "...yes... I love you too..."

Jungkook smiles as he leans in to kiss the boy's lips "...it's gonna be a long night Jeon Jimin"

The boy couldn't help but squeak into the kiss when he feels Jungkook wrap his thighs around the man's waist, already leading them to their room.
