"Addie!"

After check out, Addie and I said good bye to Charles, and headed back to my car to go home.

We walked in silence till we got into the car, then we decided on some music and began the drive home.

"So, what's going on between you and Charlie-boy?" She asked, smirking.

I rolled my eyes.

"What is wrong with you? I literally just met him today!"

"So? I liked Lando the minute I met him."

"Ahh, so you admit you like Lando!"

"I never said I didn't!" She retorted.

I was lost after that.

"Good try though. I'm not stupid. No deflections allowed."

"Ugh! I'm serious you know! Nothing is going on between us! Why would you think that?"

"Are you sure?"

"Oh my god, Addie! YES! I'm sure nothing is going on between us!"

"That's good. He has a girlfriend."

"Okay, what? What the hell is wrong with you?"

"Nothing! I'm just being irritating."

"Yes, okay? He asked me out. And clearly I got carried away. I'm sorry."

"Aww, Addie! You have literally nothing to feel sorry for, why didn't you tell me though?"

She blushed.

"I don't know, I guess I found it hard to believe?"

"Why? I'd find it hard to believe it if he didn't ask you out."

Addie blushed again.

"So... Umm, now that we've sorted this out... Could I... Could I maybe come over to get ready? Would you help me?"

I grinned.

"Of course I will! But I'm warning you in advance, I have no eye for fashion whatsoever."

"That's okay, we'll manage."

"Okay then! To my place it is!"

About 20 minutes later, I pulled into the drive way of my humble abode.

To hear Addie shriek.

Loudly.

"Is this your house?! Oh my god! Oh my god! It's adorable! Oh my gosh! I love your house! Wow!"

I laughed at her reaction.

"Thank you. My grandad built it before he..."

"Oh. I'm sorry. He must have been awesome."

I smiled sadly.

If only she knew.

I shook my head, I was not going to drown again.

"So, you wanna come in? Or are you just going to marvel at my house from the outside?"

Addie looked at me and grinned.

"You won't keep me away!"
