"Your hair?! My iron!"

I jumped up and, rushed towards Addie.

"What have you done?" I whined.

"I know! I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to! I'm just so worried about my hair!"

"Your hair?! My iron!" I yelped. "How on earth did you even manage this nonsense?!"

"I don't know. Just hurry! You're going to burn my hair off!"

I growled.

"Burn your hair off? I can do that with my stove. Do you have any idea how precious this iron is? It isn't even mine! It's my grandmother's. Where did you even find it?"

Addie smiled nervously, probably fully aware of how serious I was.

"Was I not supposed to find it?"

I rolled my eyes at her, still working to undo the tangles.

"Obviously, not. Why were you going through my stuff?"

"I... I'm sorry, okay? I was searching for the curling iron you used the other day. I know, I should've just asked you. But, I really am sorry, you know?"

I sighed, giving in.

After that I just worked in silence.

"Okay, your hair's done, your good to go. Fortunately, nothing was burnt or anything, it won't show."

Addie nodded, got up and hugged me.

"I'm so sorry!"

I hugged back.

"It's fine, just don't do it again. I value my privacy."

"I know. I just have one more thing to ask you."

"Yes?"

"Will you do my hair for me?"

She smiled like a two-year-old, giving me puppy dog eyes.

I rolled my eyes groaning.

"Ugh, fine."

After Addie's hair was done, and everything was cleaned up, she announced that Lando was coming to pick her up in a few minutes, and that we all needed to be ready for him.

Charles and I rolled my eyes at her and got back to work.

Then about half an hour later, the doorbell rang.

Addie jumped up excitedly, and ran to the door.

The door opened and there was a pause.

"Oh great," Charles muttered. "They probably must be upto some nonsense outside."

I laughed.

"When it's Addie and Lando, when are the not upto some nonsense?"

Charles nodded in agreement.

Then Addie called me.

"Kim...!"

I frowned. What was wrong?

"Yes?" I called back.

"There's someone at the door asking for you!"

What?

I pushed my self away from the table and walked out.

Standing in front of Addie, was the...

Postman.

To be honest the Postman coming to my house was pretty sus as well, because I rarely ever got any post, and when I did it was ad brochures or something like that.

Curious to know what had come for me, I accepted the parcel and thanked the man.

He nodded at me and left.

Closing the door, I pulled Addie inside (the roles now reversed) and went to the kitchen for a scissors.

"Who was at the door?" Charles asked me.

"The postman," I mumbled, carefully cutting open the package.

Finally, when I had a hole big enough, I tipped the package and emptied the contents onto the table.

A navy blue box fell out, with my name engraved in silver on the top.

I picked the box up and opened it.

Inside, was a black metal cuff and a note.

"Dear Kim,
                 We're back."
