Author note: this is the second part of this chapter hope you enjoy it.
Also, I know that Dinas Emrys isn't Vortigern's actual fortress but there is no actual name for his fortress so I used the one where a young Merlin had a confrontation with him after Uther's death in the actual legend.

Ok so just so you are aware between the last flashback and this one Caliburn has been broken reinforcing the need for a new weapon.

Everyone had finished eating and were preparing for the rest of the story.

"Well then let's get back to it!" Gareth shouted as everyone laughed at her enthusiasm. Artoria smiled before turning to Merlin.

"Show them the battle of Dinas Emrys," Artoria said ominously.

"My king, should we not show them the gifting of Excalibur, Rhongomyniad, Arondlight, Excalibur Galatine and Suledin, first," Merlin said as Artoria nodded in approval.

*King Arthur's war camp,
the king's tent.*

Y/n and Tristan approached the king's tent to report their success, as they drew closer they heard several voices arguing over the strategy of the battle.

"And what if the Howes arrive with back up!" Bedivere could be heard saying loudly.

"You underestimate Y/n and Tristan's strength" Gawain replied calmly as a few of the knight's shouted in agreement.

"We cannot siege this castle effectively whilst Vortigern oversees their defences, they have an avatar of Britain on their side" Lancelot reasoned.

"Then we find a weapon that can pierce dragons," Merlin said plainly as Artoria's eyes widened slightly.

"What do you speak of wizard?" Gawain asked with open hostility not believing a mage.

"We go to the lady of the lake to receive the weapons that can save Britain, that is what you speak of right Member maker," y/n said upon entering the tent as Tristan laughed at Merlin's hurt expression upon receiving that title, Artoria's demeanour brightened slightly as y/n walked in front of the war table.

"How sad..." Tristan started as Merlin sent him a glare.

"Don't you dare...." Merlin warned as Tristan opened his eyes slightly.

"Member maker," he said as Merlin threw his arms up before screaming in anguish, Artoria looked on amusement glinting in her eyes as she let out a small laugh.

"All jokes and titles aside, gaining possession of these weapons are in our best interest especially Rhongomyniad as it can pierce the dragon scales and since our enemy has become an abomination of human and Dragon, the lance shall Pierce his flesh," Y/n informed the knight's gathered as they all shouted in agreement.

"I shall go" Artoria spoke accepting no argument as she looked around the war table. "Any Arguments?"

"I shall accompany you, your majesty!" Gawain shouted as he slammed his fist into his chest.

"Truly, he is a moron" Tristan sighed as Y/n laughed before approaching the king.

"I shall go as well, your majesty" y/n said as stood in front of her before kneeling. "If you would let me?" He asked as a small smile graced Artoria's face.

"Indeed my friend," Artoria said as her voice held a faint echo of pain.

"Thank you your majesty" y/n replied as his eyes filled with concern for his childhood friend.
