Your Spark

I sang some of the tracks in the album and gained a lot of cheers, shouts and cries in the studio after performing. I unintentionally poured so much emotions in it but the fans was more emotional than me.

I smiled after the performance. Pasigaw na lumapit sa akin ang host at tuwang-tuwang niyakap ako.

"Grabe! Goosebumps! All of the songs were really heartfelt! Welcome back and congratulations to your solo debut, Shiana!"

Ngumiti ako at nagpasalamat nang buong puso.

"Everyone has been waiting for your comeback. Kitang-kita mo naman, lahat ng nandito inaabangan ka. You composed mostly of your songs in the album. It's very heartwarming! How did you make it? Can you tell us what inspired you to do so, or what makes it pretty lovely as you?"

Uminit ang pisngi ko at nahihiyang ngumiti. I was confident to answer it but the moment I remembered where the songs were actually inspired, I was quite ashamed. Everyone would hear it but I want to answer with truthfulness anyway.

"Uhm," I got hesitant. "Most of my songs were made when I was in Abu Dhabi and decided to release it now. But there's this one special song which I decicated to someone that's part of my life before..."

Everyone cheered. Nahihiya akong ngumiti.

"What song in the album it is?"

"It's 'Your Spark'..." I answered shyly. "I-I composed the song three years ago when I was still part of GS. In our dorm... after our very hectic day."

"Para kanino ba ang kantang iyon? Saan inspired?"

"I-It's, uhm..." Yumuko ako at bahagyang nahiya dahilan ng biglaang pagwawala ng mga tao. "It's for someone special to me. Someone who made me realize the sparks of true love I was once confused before. Someone who made me feel the sparks I didn't know actually exist for too long..."

"Oh wow! How sweet!" Kinikilig na usal ng host. "Ngayong successful ang launch ng album mo, anong masasabi mo sa taong 'yon? O sa mga fans mo?"

"Uhm..." Gosh, I'm suddenly got shy! "I guess, I want to thank him for being true to himself even when I once doubt everything about him. I want to thank him for doing and sacrificing too much for me. I hope that this song will reach his heart as how it touched the hearts of many. This is for him and for everyone who's confused of what they are feeling. Those who had difficulties to identify and feel the sparks this world is trying to tell them. Always understand the language and eventually, you'll understand the sparks. Thank you so much!"

When I had ten minutes break before returning to the show, I was informed that Hara went out for a while for some emergency. Akala ko makakabalik siya agad pero hanggang sa matapos ang part ko sa show, hindi pa siya nakabalik. Yung sasakyan lang kasi niya ang sinakyan namin papunta rito. No one's gonna get my car in the house too kasi wala sina Mommy.

"Magtataxi na lang ako," nakanguso kong sabi nang sagutin ni Hara ang tawag ko.

"Hindi. Susunduin kita riyan. Wag kang mag taxi."

"Pero sabi mo matatagalan ka pa."

I heard her cursed in frustration. Mukhang may inasikaso talaga siyang importante. Ayos lang naman magtaxi ako pero ayaw niya. Kanina ko pa nga pinipilit.

"Basta susunduin kita. Makakapaghintay ka pa ba?"

"Ayos lang. Pero gusto ko na umuwi at magpahinga. Napagod ako." namamaos na ang boses ko sa antok.

"Kung bakit kasi hindi ka maghire ng driver, e! Si Marius? Baka masundo ka no'n? Ayoko talagang nagtataxi ka. Sobrang gabi na, e. Sorry, Shiana. Bawi ako next life promise."
