Chapter 2

Childhood Friend

"How's the drive here, baby? Are you alright?"

She's really a very sweet mother.

"I love you, Mommy. Ayos lang po ako. May checkpoint pa kasi roon sa kabilang kanto. Pasyensya na po."

"It's okay, baby! It's okay!" Mommy kissed my cheeks.

"I'm glad you're here. I miss you, hija."

"I'm always be here, Daddy. I love you!"

Mommy is always the sweetest person I've ever had. Palagi niya akong bini-baby kahit ngayong twenty two na ako. Daddy, otherwise, is a very good Dad. He's the most supportive Dad.

Imagine, they're both doctors. I should be following their footsteps pero mas pinili ko ang pumasok sa Show Business kaysa sa mag-aral ng medisina. Still, they fully support me. Hindi nila ako kinontra at hinadlangan.

They always think what makes me happy.

And I love that about them.

They're the best parents for me.

Niyaya na nila akong kumain pagkatapos no'n. Mommy can't get enough of her stories. Si Daddy ay tumatawa lang. Nakangiti ko lang din silang pinagmasdan dalawa.

They don't know how thankful I am that I owned a parents like them.

"How about you, baby? Malapit na 'yong live at guesting niyo sa isang TV show, hindi ba?"

I smiled. "Yes, Mommy."

"Your Daddy and I will be right there."

"Ayos lang, Mommy. If you have important to do that day, I understand if you can't attend."

"No. We will, baby. Alam mo namang gustong-gusto rin namin ng Daddy mo na nandoon kami at pinapanood ka. We're so proud of you."

Tears pooled in my eyes. Ngumiti ako at tumango sa kanila.

They are both a very busy doctors pero kitang-kita ko kung paano nila sinusubukan makapunta sa mga mahahalagang araw ko. I always understand if they can't attend but they're still trying so hard to be there and support me.

And I appreciate it so much.

Truth is, I am not their biological daughter. I didn't came biologically from them.

I was only adopted. They both can't produce their own child kaya noong nagbakasyon sila ng ilang buwan noon sa General Santos City at natagpuan nila ako sa isang charity na fina-fund nila, ginawa nila ang lahat para maampon ako.

When they said they'll be getting me, I didn't hesitate to come. I was happy when I was still at the orphanage before but I was much more happier when they got me.

I was twelve years old back then. Kinuha nila ako at ginawang biological daughter sa papel. They registered me as them and treat me as their own family. They raised me good, they supports me in everything, they always spoiled me and they treat me like a real daughter.
