Aaron's POV
"I love you too Aaron, thank you. It's getting late, I need to get to bed. A-And then I, um- we have that Doctors appointment next week. It's just a c-check up, there won't be an ultrasound so you don't h-have to come."
She's distancing herself, she used to do that after she and Andrew had a fight. She's slipping into an anxiety attack. I hold her hands and rub my thumbs over her knuckles, "Y/n, breathe, we're okay honey. We will be okay."
She looks at my hands and then into my eyes. Her breathing was shallow, I tightened my grip and she slumped over, "Y/n!"
I pick her up and lie her down on the couch, "Y/n, come on, wake up baby. Shit!"
I pull out my phone and call JJ, "JJ, I need you to come to Y/n's house immediately. I don't have time to talk. She just fainted."
I hung up the phone and went to wake up Grace. I needed to get her ready to go with JJ, she doesn't need to see her mom like this.
I walked into her room and tapped on her shoulder, "Grace, wake up sweetie."
"Huh? Is it school time?" She rubs her eyes, smiles, and yawns.
She looked so much like Y/n while waking up, "No, you're going to have a sleepover at Auntie JJ's house."
Her little eyebrows furrow, "Really?"
"Uh-huh, Mom's sleeping and she really needs to sleep. She thought you'd have more fun with your cousins," I nod trying to seem convincing.
"She's the best," Grace giggles and gets out from under her covers.
I smile at her, "I know, now come on. You have to show me what you want to take with you."
"Otay!" She hops out of her little toddler bed.
Grace and I packed her a bag and the doorbell rang. I picked up Gracie and took her over to the front door, I made sure she didn't see her mom.
I passed Grace to JJ, "JJ, thank you for doing this. I have to take her to the hospital."
JJ was frazzled, "What? Is she okay?"
I covered Grace's ears, "I'm sure she's fine, but with the bun in the oven, I need to be sure."
"Okay, please update me as soon as you can. Gracie will be just fine," JJ strokes Gracie's hair.
I rub Grace's back, "Thanks, okay, I have to go- we have to go."
"Be safe, Hotch."

I rushed Y/n into the emergency room and the nurses whisked her away almost immediately. They allowed me to stay by her side because of the baby and my badge. It's been an hour since we've arrived, Y/n was doing just fine. The doctors said she had an extreme anxiety attack and it caused this 'fainting spell.' I was worried, she still hadn't woken up, luckily the baby was fine.
I held my head in my hands as I waited by her side, "I'm so sorry, Y/n. I would never abandon you. I should have-"
"She's showing high levels of stress. I don't think she'd want you to blame yourself, but she can tell you for herself." One of the doctors said over my shoulder.
I look up and Y/n is smiling at me, "Mmm, good morning babe."
"Y/n, I'm so happy you're okay," I caress her arm.
She gives me a half-smile, "How's our little one?"
I give her a soft smile, "Grace is with JJ, she is doing-"
"You, sir, just made my heart skip a beat. I'm talking about this one," she points at her stomach.
I chuckle and hold her hand, "That little one is doing just fine. You on the other hand..."
She rolls her eyes, "I'm fine, Aaron."
"Look at where you are, Y/n/n. You scared the shit out of me, I'm sorry that I made you have an anxiety attack this bad," I shook my head, the guilt was seeping into my stomach.
She grabbed my arm and I looked back into her eyes, "Aaron Hotchner, you are not the reason for my being here. I am here because I worried about you, Grace, this baby,-"
My mind was going through a list of concerns and worries, but one question was at the top of my list. "Why were you trying to sell your ring?"
"Aaron, it's not important," she waves the issue off.
"Y/n, why?" I squeeze her hand tight, "Communication."
She lets out a heavy breath, "I- I was trying to add money back into my savings. I took out a lot of money to pay off Andrew's debt. I'm fine now, I can still pay the bills..."
I kissed her knuckles, "Y/n, why didn't you tell me it was that bad?"
She shook her head profusely, "It's not your responsibility, I have it handled. I need to be able to support myself, my child, and do it all without a man."
"I can understand that, but Y/n/n... you're not alone." I sat up and kissed her cheek.
"I know I'm not, you're taking care of the two new bedrooms," tears pricked the corners of her eyes.
"Y/n, just- if you ever need anything don't be afraid to ask," I hugged her tight and kissed her forehead.
"Okay..."
