Chapter 56 (Meeting Grandpa Wei)
Suddenly Boyi had a thought, Wei Zhan had been teaching him a lot of stuff, from cooking to swimming and homework and he is really blessed. He turns around and told Boyi
"Zhan-ge, you are like my mentor," Boyi told Wei Zhan, giving him the highest honor to be his mentor.
What will be Wei Zhan's response?.
Wei Zhan was a little surprised but he was also delighted. To think of himself even when he was a few years younger, he had met many businessmen older than him and some much older than him, would intermittently make suggestions to Wei Zhan
"Hey, how about my son works for you as an intern and let you mentor him" they would make requests to Wei Zhan.
Wei Zhan always politely turns them down by telling them straight to the point.
"I don't have time and I don't like to mentor others" which is absolutely true. Those businessmen's children are usually spoilt and Wei Zhan didn't like to get involved with them and usually, they also have an ulterior motive and if it is a girl, they hope that Wei Zhan will marry them, and if it is a boy, they also wish for Wei Zhan to marry him, as this is now quite a trend among the rich.
However, Wei Zhan just didn't want to fall into those old fox's trap. However, today when Boyi mentioned that he is like a mentor to Boyi. Wei Zhan seems to like the idea, he did not repel it and instead he nod and hummed
"Then, be good to your mentor" Wei Zhan even acknowledged and tease the boy.
Boyi smiles and he is delighted and so he cutely told Wei Zhan
"You go and sit down, I will serve you" Boyi told Wei Zhan, as in his mind, since he is not good at cooking then he can do the serving.
Boyi points to the chair and told Wei Zhan
"Zhan-ge, sit here," Boyi told Wei Zhan.
Wei Zhan finds the boy so sincere that he really sat down, while Boyi went to take out the bow and chopstick and place them infront of Wei Zhan and another set beside him.
Then, Boyi took the cooked noodles that are steaming with smell and brought them to the dining table, he then scoop the noodles for Wei Zhan first and told him
"Zhan-ge, you eat first while the noodles is hot" full of respect but somehow, it feels a little like treating him like an elderly, but the young heir is enjoying it and nods but still wanting to wait for Boyi and eat together.
"Hmm....very well done, let's eat together" Wei Zhan told Boyi
Boyi nods and smiles
"Alright.....mentor" the cheeky boy teases Wei Zhan
"Mmmm...good boy" Wei Zhan told Boyi and then he pats his head.
The warm and big palm is patting on Boyi's head, making him feels comfortable and safe and so there is a surge of warmth inside Boyi's heart that he had not experienced since his parent passed away.
"Zhan-ge, can cook very well" Boyi praised his mentor
Of course, this brought joy in the mentor's heart that he even offer more of himself
"I can teach you," Wei Zhan told Boyi.
Boyi nods and smiles and expressed his joy in the offer
"Okay," Boyi told Wei Zhan
Together, they have an enjoyable meal, chatting about University, studies, L&M, and even Boyi depute as a model.
