"come on tell us how you met this wonderful woman while we wait for the nazi's" Dum Dum spoke out of nowhere. Bucky chuckled as he stare into the distance while memories of them flash in his mind
Evelyn chuckled shaking her head "well we became friends years ago and she fell in love with me then we started dating after" Bucky smirked at Evelyn making her turn to him raising her eyebrows "oh that's how it was?" she asked
"okay, alright. I fell in love, courted her, she said yes and we dated for exactly 2 years" Bucky continued while gazing at Evelyn
"what happened then?" Jones asked "well, good things always comes to an end, doesn't it?" Evelyn asked smiling sweetly at Bucky while the other howling commandos looks at them both with smiles on their lips
"but it doesn't mean that endings can never be a good one, we choose our own paths and endings" Bucky spoke
"guys" Dum Dum mumbled after hearing noises. Evelyn looked through her binocular to see the nazi's arriving on their base "alright boys, let's get moving"
Evelyn went on where Bucky's positioned with his sniper "may I?" she asked grinning. Bucky stood from his spot motioning towards his sniper to Evelyn with a smile
"what do we do?" Pinkerton asked looking at Dum Dum "do as what the best girl says, let's move" Dum Dum said earning nods from the rest of the team
Evelyn took down the two guards guarding the entrance using the sniper on hand. She stood up from her spot and Bucky went back on his "nice shot Sergeant" Bucky teased making her chuckle "Evy" Bucky called making her head turn to him
"don't die" he mumbled earning a smile "you too" she respond going the same way as the rest of the howling commandos

"where the hell is the rest of the team?" Colonel Phillips asked looking behind Evelyn and Pinkerton "unfortunately it's just us" Evelyn replied looking down "what happened to them?" Philips asked "they were caught, we escaped" Evelyn explained
"she saved the both of us" Pinkerton spoke making the soldiers behind the Colonel look at her in surprise. Colonel Philips gave her a small grin and patted her shoulder knowing what the woman is capable of
"the nurse will check you both up" he announced before walking away "oh thank goodness" Peggy sighed pulling Evelyn into a hug making her smile "where's the 107th?" she also asked "unfortunately they were caught. We need to send more soldiers to rescue them"
"how did you manage to escape?" Peggy asked again "luck, I guess" Evelyn smiled before walking away from Peggy to meet the nurse. Peggy stood there confused while her guts is telling her that the woman is hiding something because there's no way it's all "luck" that she managed to escape such a large base full of nazi's
"didn't know you work as nurse now" Evelyn rolled her eyes seeing Howard stood in front of her "well I'm not, but I'd be happy to check you out" he smirked earning a glare from her "Stark give me a damn break from your shitty pick up lines"
"hey watch your language Evy, no man would want a woman who speaks like that" he scolds her like she's a child making her head turn to him with raised eyebrows "I don't give a shit about what what men thinks" she smiled at him
"always so damn feisty" Howard grinned "Agent Lenoir?" a nurse called. Evelyn left Howard's side and walked towards the nurse while Howard watched her smiling realizing that Evelyn is the kind of woman he really needs. The one who isn't afraid to put him on his place
After Evelyn's wounds was checked and patched up, she went straight where Colonel Phillips announced the meeting for rescuing the team will be.
"Colonel" she greeted saluting him making him turn to look at her "your right in time, we're about to get started" he smiled at her
Evelyn stood next to Colonel Phillips while Howard stood on his other side and Peggy sat on the map table across from a tall blond unfamiliar man who's marking down the map. Evelyn eyed the blond hair of the man from behind with scrunched eyebrows
"Colonel" Peggy saluted him and cleared her throat. Her lips curled into a smile seeing Evelyn studying the man "Peg, Stark" Evelyn spoke nodding to them
"Agent?" Evelyn asked waiting for the man to turn around. He turned his body looking at Evelyn "what?" she asked clueless while staring at the man in front of her "hi Evy" Steve smiled widely while she stood there dumbfounded "Steve?" she asked making the four laugh "how?" she asked
"another time" Peggy spoke. Howard looked at Evelyn then back at Steve with a proud look on his face watching Steve mark down the map while he explains his plan on rescuing the 107th
After Steve finished explaining the plan and coordinates Evelyn spoke "please excuse us" she said pulling Steve with her outside maming him look down at her clueless
"you got smaller" Steve chuckled looking down at her while she looks at him sternly "haha" she muttered "Steve what the hell did they do to you" she asked
"project rebirth by doctor Erskine" he smiled proudly. Evelyn went speechless after hearing the project that the Colonel and Dr Erskine has been planning for a long time "Steve you could have been killed!" she whispered yelled "but I'm alive"
"Bucky's gonna kill you" she said making him smile again "let's cancel the plan on rescuing the team then" he joked making her chuckle "not gonna lie, you look fucking good" she grinned walking beside him
"Natalia" Steve groaned making her roll her eyes and chuckle remembering when Bucky mentioned to her that steve hates when people cuss "okay that has to stop" Evelyn spoke making Steve hum confused
"you and Bucky have to stop using my middle name whenever I do or say something you dont like" she explained "nope" Steve replied chuckling
