"Come on butch. Be a pal?" Krzeminski asked almost begging for someone to cover his shift "I can't swing it, why don't you ask Lenoir or Carter?"
"right. Lenoir would have punched me before I could even finish my sentence" Evy smiled to herself as she passed by them "glad to know you learned your lessons" she butts in walking in to the other side of the interrogation room
"What is he doing here?" evy asked with knitted eyebrows "you know this guy?" Daniel asked making his and Dooley's head turn to her "yeah, I've met him few times during the war. He's Howard's butler" she explained as they watch Jarvis and Jack
"I don't think I can tell you anything that isn't already in the missing car report I filed" Jarvis responds to Jack "that report might take us a while to dig up. You see, the NYPD aren't as efficient as the SSR at record keeping, which is saying something, because our files are wrecked"
"isn't that Stark's butler?" Peggy asked walking in "you know Mr Jarvis?" evy asked "only from the file. Do you think he was really involved in the Roxxon explosion?"
"I doubt he's the one who blow the place up" evy replied "but he's capable of driving the getaway car" Dooley added making Evy nod in agreement. The four quietly watched Jack and Jarvis as Jack interrogates him
"I can see why he hired you. You're smart, cool headed, extremely loyal, which is surprising, considering you were charged with treason" Jack smugly smiled when Jarvis' face dropped "there you go. Stay on him"
"that was unexpected" evy muttured "you didn't read his file?" daniel asked "didn't knew you guys were bringing him in" she shrugged
"and to the fine folks at the office of immigration. Yeah I'm putting that on the table" Jack walked towards Jarvis "that'll be a fun conversation to have with the wife. Yeah?"
Evy felt bad knowing how much Jarvis love his wife and using her is such a unpleasant move but she was the only way to use against Jarvis. She did try to use ana against him once, she knew she could have made him confess right there and then but she didn't wanted to push him that far. She's not that cruel but deep down her mind was screaming to her that she was much more cruel than that and there goes her past haunting her again
evy let's out a deep sigh trying to shake her thoughts away
"let's get her on the phone. I'll tell her myself" Jack walked towards the glass and leaned beside it "you leave my wife out of this" Jarvis spoke glaring at Jack "you dragged her into it when you broke the law with your boss. You pay, she pays"
"he's about to fold" Dooley mumbled watching closely "and admit what?" peggy asked with her gaze pierced at Jack and Jarvis. Evy's eyebrows raised by Peggy's sudden tone of voice but she kept her eyes on the two "if I had my way, damn near everything. This guy washes Stark's underwear. He knows" dooley responded to Peggy
Peggy stood up from her seat ready to leave when Daniel called her "hey it's just getting good" he said making Evy turn to Peggy "I should get back to my station" she smiled to Evy opening the door
"I'm sure the last thing you want is to put ana on a plane and have to explain why" Jack smirked before Peggy closed the door leaving quickly "that's odd" evy mumbled after Peggy left knowing she love to watch interrogations like this just like her
"excuse me, Chief Dooley" peggy barge in "I need your signature sir" she added "what? can't it wait?" he asked with furrowed brows "I'm afraid the codes are ready for analysis. I need your approval" peggy walked in and placed the papers in front of him
Dooley pulled out his pen and signed them "thank you" peggy cleared her throat and took the papers then left the room
"I'm gonna get a coffee. You want something?" Jack spoke "that's my cue" dooley announced leaving the room with Evy and daniel following behind "what do you think" Jack asked after he got out "I think he's on the verge of telling you what Stark had for breakfast two months ago" Dooley replied "really nice jack" daniel praised "you feel him sweat?" Dooley asked
"Ana's the key, stay on her. She's the only way for him to fold" Evy spoke. Jack nodded before him and Dooley walked towards the interrogation room "Mr Jarvis, I want you to meet-"
"Chief Dooley, I'm afraid I mistakenly took your stolen car report" Peggy spoke walking towards them. The two man looked at her with a glare while Evy shook her head in disappointment
"well, thank you for your hospitality, gentlemen. Unless your going to arrest and charge me, I'll be on my way. If there's anything you'd like further to discuss, please feel free to contact one of Mr Stark's attorneys" Jarvis said in relief breaking the silence
"Do you have any idea how stupid that was?" dooley asked "I didn't-"
"exactly. You didn't think!" he yelled cutting off peggy while she stood in front of him "for the love of Eve, will somebody tell me what I did, who I cheesed off to have you dumped in my lap. And you wonder why you never catch any actual assignments"
"hey" he turned to Jarvis when he walked past before Peggy glanced at him "you see this man? he did exemplary work today, and you ruined it" dooley pointed to Jack
"now, what do you have to say to him?" he asked as if he was disciplining a child "Agent Thompson, I apologize" she turned to Jack "Agent Carter, sorry doesn't even begin to cover it"
"get out of my sight" dooley pointed to the door "sir" peggy nodded leaving the office seeing every agents staring at her maki g Evy roll her eyes "what?" she yelled at them before they quickly went to go back to their works
"jack was so close to making him confess peg" evy spoke "I know, I made a mistake" peggy nodded "be careful next time" she smiled at her
