"well, I'll go a-" Evy got cut off when the front door opened loudly and slammed close followed by Howard storming in furiously "Mr Stark would you like a coffee?" Jarvis asked "no I'm good" Howard replied walking past them "tea?" Ana asked
"no thanks" Howard replied unbuttoning his suit jacket while making his way on his room "you wanna talk about it?" Evy spoke up making him stop on his tracks. Howard instantly calmed at the sound of her voice. Turning around, every problems and headaches of his went away seeing Evy's angelic face "yes, yes, of course" he replied smiling widely at her making her chuckle seeing how fast his mood changed "I'll be on the garden" she smiled at him
Nodding at Ana and Jarvis, she made her way to the garden to wait for him there. Howard took a glance on the couple seeing them grinning widely at him that made him roll his eyes with a smile before he went to his room to change
"oh he is definitely in love" Ana smiled up at her husband "is he?" Jarivs asked confused "don't fool yourself darling, we witnessed it ourselves"

"how did it went?" Evy asked earning a heavy sigh from howard "they still don't believe me, how many times do i have to tell them that i didn't seel my own inventions to black market?" he explained to her "I have to come back for another hearing tomorrow" he added groaning
"well that's how it is, just keep on doing those hearings I'm sure everything will be alright soon" she said holding his hand. The small gesture made his heart flatter making him smile
Howard is nothing but thankful for having Evy next to him, she never fails to make him smile and lights up his mood everytime he's in a bad one
"I don't know sunshine" he mumbled making her eyebrows raise "what do you mean you don't know?" she asked confused "I'm so tired of it, I don't know if I can deal with this any longer"
"howard you have to" Howard lets out another sigh knowing she's right "just do what you think is right, you're a genius after all" she teased. Howard rolled his eyes, hearing Evy's small laugh made him smile widely
"don't tell me you're going home, I'm still enjoying your company" he pouts watching her as she stood up from her seat straightening her skirt "I'm not" she replied
"then where are you g-" he was cut off by her standing up behind his chair and wrapping her arms around him from behind. Howard leaned into her touch making both of them smile "and here I am thinking you don't like physical touch" he mumbled making her chuckle "not at all"
a sudden bright flush from the backdoor of the kitchen interrupted the two making both of their head turn. Evy rolled her eyes smiling seeing Jarvis holding a camera on his hand looking at the photo he just took with huge smile on his face and Ana who's smiling at them awkwardly while she nudge her husband "it looks so b-"
"Darling" Ana called him loudly. Jarvis turned at her before at the two who's looking at them awkwardly "oh" Jarvis mumbled "we're going back inside, we have chores to do" Ana waved "we do?" Jarvis asked confused "yes we do, darling" she responds pulling her husband back inside
"that was awkward" Evy said sitting back down "I bet that's it's a amazing photo though" Howard grinned at her "yeah, I'd like a copy please" she grinned back at him
"anything for you my beautiful sunshine" Howard smirked before pulling her hand towards him and placing a soft kiss on top of it "clichè" she rolled her eyes
The next morning, when Evy was about to lock her door and head to the headquarters, her eyes landed on the table on her front porch. Seeing a bouquet of white and red tulips made her eyebrows raise
"as much as I don't want to leave knowing that I won't be able to see that angelic face of yours, I have to. I'll miss you so much sunshine, I promise I'll see you soon"
Evy's heart melted because of the letter and the flowers but she couldn't help wondering what he meant when he said he have to leave
She carefully took the letter out from the bouquet and placed it inside her purse before taking the flowers inside and putting them into her vase before going back outside to head to the headquarters
Evy made a small conversation with rose before entering the bullpen to stop herself from overthinking about the letter from howard but it keeps wandering on her mind
"thank you rose" she smiled at the lady as she opened the entrance of the bullpen for her
