Peggy was met by silence when she walked in to the bullpen and seeing a bouquet of flower laying on Krzeminski's desk made her stop in front of it "really puts you back there isn't it. Somebody buys it, you realize could happen any time, any day" daniel spoke making Peggy turn to him "how did it happen?" she asked "professional hit. Him and our only witness. Must have been watching us at the scene" Jack respond
"I knew something was fishy about that anonymous tip. Who does that?" daniel asked staring at a distance "a concern citizen?" peggy respond, her voice cracks making Evy's head turn to her
"this guy called us directly. It's not like we're in the phone book. Somebody targeted them, and i'm gonna find that bastard" Daniel spoke again
Dooley comes out from his office making everyone's head turn to him "whatever happened last night, don't any of you forget..." he paused "Krzeminski would still be with us today if it wasn't for Howard Stark, whether he pulled the trigger or not. We're only neck deep in this mess because of him"
Evy let's out a sigh shaking her head. As much as she hates to admit it, Dooley was right
"I want action plans on my desk in 1 hour. Stay vigilant. I'm not losing any more of you. Now i got to go call Krzeminski's wife" Dooley added going back inside his office

"you've been coming to work late for a whole week now, am I missing something?" Evy asked while Peggy hangs her coat. Peggy turned to her with a small smile "late nights, that's all"
"late nights with who?" evy asked teasingly "with angie" peggy rolled her eyes at her teasing manner "gather around, come on" Jack yelled coming out from Dooley's office
"okay, who here knows what Ray Krzeminski's middle name was" he asked after everyone gathered around. Evy rolled her eyes at his tone as if he's teaching a class "Walter" an agent answered
"that's right. Walter. Ray Walter Krzeminski" Jack said pointing at the Agent "and who knows what the most important part of agent Ray Walter Krzeminski's name was?" he asked again looking around
"Walter?" the same agent replied hesitantly "no. Agent. Just like all of us"
"where is chief?" evy interrupted him before he could even ask another stupid question. Jack glared at her "now, chief Dooley's gone to break a lead in the Stark's case. And while he's gone, I'm in charge. And when I'm in charge, none of you will be resting"
"what's new?" evy asked loudly making Peggy roll her eyes chuckling "evy" she warned "so pick up your phones and make kissy noises to your wives, cause we're not going home until we start cracking heads" Jack continued, ignoring Evy
"the only head that I'm gonna crack here is yours" she mumbled "and if you get tired, remember how important your names are, Agents" he turned to the office "Now, for a single file up to my office, and I'll give your individual assignments. Come on" he said walking towards the office
"he's taking his job as a chief way to seriously" evy sings making Jack turn back to her and walked back at his position earlier "Natalia, I'm trying to run a whole headquarters here and you opening your mouth every second is not helping" he nodded to her
"oh please, the only thing you're running here is your mouth" she retorts making a few agents eyes widen in shock while other tries holding their laughter. Jack's jaw clenched seeing her smiling at him before walking to her desk "watch your mouth" Jack warned walking back towards the office
"I can hear your ego breaking from here chief!" she yelled. Jack shut his eyes tight and breathed heavily to contain his anger "sometimes I think you're born to humble men" Daniel spoke making her chuckle "what can I say, it my everyday job now" she grinned sitting down
"not eager to see what job commandant Thompson has in store for you?" Daniel joked to Peggy "you mean the lunch order" she replied "where are you headed?" peggy asked seeing Daniel taking his coat
"the anonymous call that led to the Stark weapons... I'm gonna see if I can pull a print off the phone that rang it" he explained "it was a public phone. The only thing you'll pull is a bacterial infection" peggy smiled making him chuckle
"Sousa, where do you think you're going?" Jack asked coming out from the office "to do some real police work, oh man of action" daniel responds "Marge, start taking the lunch orders" he ordered to Peggy
"great, I'll come with you" Evy smiled getting up "you don't need to" peggy hurriedly responds making Evy's head tilt to the side in confusion "you should focus on your files more" peggy added
"okay, I'll come with you then" Evy offered to Daniel "its okay Evy" he nodded smiling "sure" she mumbled sitting back down
"Natalia" Jack called standing by the office door. He stepped aside motioning for the door to her. Evy let's out a sigh and made her way inside the office and went to sit right away "the assignment that you've been waiting for" he said placing some files in front of her
Evy didn't moved nor said anything, she only kept her gaze in a distance "Lenoir" Jack called loudly snapping his finger "we would have known by now where Howard is if I was there" she muttured still staring on the window "what" he asked confused
"if you only let me ride with Krzeminski, him and the only witness that we had would still be alive by now" she looked at him "you should be thanking me, I saved your life" he smirked "no, i could have saved us three if I was there" she fights
"Evelyn, Krzeminski didn't even saved his self and the witness, what makes you think that you could have saved the three of you"
"you don't know what I'm capable of Jack, you've never even seen me do an actual field work"
"just be thankful that I saved your life"
"I would have thanked you if you let me in that damn car knowing I would have saved them"
"take this files and go back in your desk or else"
"or else what" she challenged stepping forward towards him "or else I'll drag you back on your desk" he smirked looking down at her "there you are again with your empty threats" she chuckled lowly "go back to your desk" he ordered
"I'll go back to my desk whenever the hell I want" she said staring up at him. She held back a smirk when she saw him staring right at her eyes without saying a single word knowing that she's got him manipulated "okay?" she whispered only earning a nod from him
Evy grinned before taking the files and leaving the office. Jack finally snapped out and shook his head, his gaze landed to Evy seeing her already looking at him while holding up her middle finger "men are so easy" she mumbled to herself
