"how was the SSR?" howard asked looking at Evy who is sat across him on the booth "what?" Evy asked too while she chews on her food "you heard me, stop saying what"
Evy shook her head smiling "by what, I meant how did you know" she respond making him grin "look who your talking to Miss Lenoir, I got a lot of connections everywhere" he proudly grinned at her
"we're starting on Friday"
"I'm surprised they accepted you both that quick"
Evy raised her eyebrows at him making Howard shook his head "that's not what I meant. They don't accept right away and no offense but mostly you are a woman"
"well most of the time I don't take no for an answer" she grinned at him "by most of the time, you mean every time r-"
"Howard?" a female voice came from behind him making Evy's eyes glance at her and Howard's head to turn at her "how have you been?" she asked smiling at him. Howard glanced back at Evy with a confused look on his face while Evy glanced back at him biting her lip trying to hold her laughter "aida?"
her smile dropped from the name and turned to him with a sharp glare "its Miriam actually" she corrected him making Evy laugh on how the name he guessed was not even close to her actual name. "I'm sorry but what's so funny?" Miriam asked looking at her while Howard looks at her pleading for her help "everything is, Aida" Evy respond
Miriam sent her a glare before slapping Howard and finally leaving them "I literally hate aftermaths" Howard groaned placing rubbing his cheek "it's just a name, what is she so mad for" he added
"honestly, if I were her i would've reacted the same way" Evy spoke "its just a name" Howard said defending his self "small things and efforts matter Howard" she respond getting up from their booth and signaling Howard to do the same
They made their way out together and back to his car. Howard smiled widely when she chose to sit on the passenger seat. "Now, I'll take you to my favorite p-"
"uh, no. The only place that your taking me is home" she said turning to look at him "fine" Howard rolled his eyes

"here you go, my lady" Howard grinned parking in front of her house. Evy rolled her eyes with a smile before getting out of his car. "Evy" Howard softly called from behind her while she looks for her keys from her bag "yeah?" she asked turning to him when she finally found her keys
Howard stood there with the same bouquet of pink tulips on his hand that he gave her just days ago while giving her a smile. Evy looked at him with raise eyebrows "that's for me?" she asked "no I bought it for myself, of course Evelyn its yours" Howard rolled his eyes at her
"thank you" she smiled at him "goodnight" Howard smiled walking back to his car while Evy stood on her front porch. After he turned his engine back on, Howard's head turned to her after hearing her call his name "thank you for tonight and for the tulips, I really appreciate all of it" she smiled sweetly at him
Howard's cheeks quickly turned red and smiled back at her "anything for you Evy" he responds as he was about to drive away, Evy spoke again "you look good today actually" Howard pressed his lips together trying to hide his huge smile at her
Howard drives away while he kept horning his car in a happiness making Evy laugh "idiot"
