"Miss Lenoir" Jarvis stated with a nervous smile seeing Evy stood on the door "Mr Jarvis" she greeted as he stepped aside to let her in "I wasn't expecting you, would you like a tea?" he asked "no, I won't be long"
"I'll go straight to the point" she said "what p-" "where's Howard?" Evy asked cutting him off "as much as I can remember, he went away" Jarvis replied giving her a small yet nervous smile
"hmm, when I told him to do what he think is right I didn't expected him to do such as stupid decision" he was met with her intimidating look that she naturally has making him even more nervous "Mr Jarvis you know what I am doing here" Jarvis nodded followed by a gulp "you're looking for Mr Stark, I'm afraid I'm not the person who can answer that"
"really, then maybe Ana is?" she said turning to him "she don't know a single thing" he mumbled "I'll do what you want, I'll get out of your hair as soon as you tell me where he is"
"I never said I didn't wanted you here Miss Lenoir" he laughed nervously "yeah, your body language says otherwise" Jarvis cleared his throat and stood straight "just nervous" she nodded "I can tell"
"Mr Jarvis I know you know where Howard is so do what is right, tell me where he is. Trust me it's not too late to fix this" she said almost convincing him but Jarvis knew that Howard is reasonable for running away "You're right Miss Lenoir, but Mr Stark has my loyalty and please do believe me that he has reasons why he ran away"
"right about what, that you know where he is or it's not too late to fix this?" she asked "both" he replied earning a small smile from her "very well" she said making her way towards the door "I'm sorry if I was...hard" she apologized turning to look at Jarvis who stood behind her "you were just doing your job" Jarvis said walking her out. Evy nodded her head with a smile before leaving to go back to the HQ
"hi evy!" daniel greeted as soon as she entered the bullpen "hello daniel" she smiled at him "something's up" she said walking towards his desk seeing agents rushing towards the briefing room "Thompson's working on his next medal" daniel respond before taking a sip of his coffee
she leaned towards his desk seeing photos of Howard on a boat having the time of his life with a woman on his arm making Evy's eyebrows raised and blood boil "when was this?" she asked "the first 72 hours" daniel pointed at the photos
Peggy came out of the briefing room with a smile on her face after successfully making the chief believe that she's on her period. Her eyes widen seeing Evy talking to daniel, she looked around thinking of an excuse to keep her away from him
"funny thing, Peggy said he can't e-"
"evy!" Peggy called making her head turn up at her "yeah?" she asked "want to get these gentlemen lunch with me?" she smiled. Evy glanced at her wrist watch seeing its only 11:00am "isn't it too early?" her eyebrows scrunched in confusion knowing they usually take their lunch orders around 12:30
"chief wanted them early, said they'll be working nonstop so" Peggy reasoned walking towards her "okay?"
"I'll talk to you later" evy smiled at daniel making him smile widely "sure, you ladies take care" he replied before Evy link her arms on Peggy's "daniel" evy stopped turning at him. Peggy let's out a deep sigh hoping she won't ask any questions about Howard's photos on the boat knowing damn well that Howard can actually swim and Evy knows that
"hmm?" he muttured "what's your lunch order?" she asked "anything is fine" he chuckled "not gonna ask mine?" Jack asked walking out of the briefing room. Evy rolled her eyes at him "sandwich is fine to me" he called as the ladies walked out of the bullpen "sandwich with Evelyn Lenoir's spit" she mumbled making Peggy laugh
"what's going on" peggy asked while they walk down the street "what?" evy turned to her confused "something's bothering you, I can tell" peggy said turning to look back at her "okay mind reader, tell me what it is then" she grinned "it's the photos isn't it?" it was Peggy's turn to grin "what photos?"
"stop playing stupid, it doesn't suit you" peggy chuckled "come on it's howard, he's always been a womanizer you gotta get used to it" she said giving her a look "is it bad that I thought he changed after what we had?" evy asked with a sigh "of course not! it's his loss anyway"
Evy nodded in agreement "you okay though?" Peggy asked, she gave her a small smile "thanks Peg" peggy looked at her confused "for what?" evy smiled widely at her "for staying, for listening, for always being here and for everything. I don't know what I'll do without you"
"don't thank me, I'm just doing what friends are supposed to do. Plus, you've been there for me ever since we've met I'm just returning the favor" she smirked at her

After the two got the agents lunch, they made their way back to the HQ "you miss him?" peggy asked out of nowhere making Evy chuckle "its only been days since that stupid ran away" she said rolling her eyes
Peggy turned to her and pinched her side making Evy flinch "ow, what was that for?" she asked rubbing the spot she pinched "get howard out of your damn mind, I was talking about barnes" she scolds her like a little girl
"what kind of question is that Peg? of course I do. He was my everything, my first love actually" she smiled sadly at the memories "WHAT?!" peggy yelled making her jump slightly "peggy! don't do that" she scolds "how the hell is barnes your first love?" peggy asked ignoring her scolding
"is that even supposed to have an explanation?" she said groaning. Of course it was supposed to have an explanation, evy knew that but she just don't want to explain it to her how Bucky was the first man she ever been with after what she gone through
"you met him on your first day on the camp, dated him for like years. So you're telling me that you never had anyone before him? with a beauty like that? how!" Peggy said yelling the last part "first of all, yes I never had anyone before Bucky and thank you very much for the compliment"
"what about the third one?" peggy asked again "what third one?" evy asked confused "how was it possible that you never dated any man before him?" evy rolled her eyes at Peggy "trust me going out of the house was never my thing until I joined the army"
"unbelievable" peggy mumbled making her laugh "its not" Peggy took a step back and looked at her up and down making Evy's eyebrows scrunched "uh, what are you doing?" "how?" peggy asked more to herself
"eve, if I'm a man and I knew you way sooner I would have done everything just to date you" she grinned at her "shut up, you're no man but we both know you'd still want date me now" she joked
"you think so?" peggy teasingly asked "I dont think so. I know it" Peggy let's out a laugh and shook her head "we better bead back, they must be starving"
"then let's let them starve to death" evy smiled "that humor of yours is something else"
Evy was about to say she know it but was cut off by her own yelp when Peggy slapped her butt "Margaret Carter!" evy yelled at her "what?" peggy innocently asked "don't ever do that again" she scolds for the hundredth time "shut up, you love it" she smirked
