SEISHA:

He knows too much about her. How can he even distinguish if he hasn't been paying attention? If they all say that Lucius never paid attention to the Princess ever since it got here in his residence, what I am seeing right now is the exact opposite.

There is something fishy about how these rumors circulate. There is something off about their relationship.

Even if I did commit to stay alive, adjusting to that idea is never an easy job. I will never know when my trauma will attack me, or when my nightmare will visit me in my sleep. This is not an easy mission, lalo na kapag sa bawat tanong na lumabas sa bibig ko, dumadami ang sangay nito.

"I don't know you were that attentive, akala ko kasi wala kang pakialam sa akin." My fingernails are twirling the loose strand of the green ribbon on my waist.

"Hindi mo pa sinasagot ang tanong ko: why are you here? Why is Erique forbidding himself to laugh? Do I look like a clown?" My innocence was flowing despite my sarcasm.

"I'm sorry, Princess. His Highness quoted something funny, and I think he is more of a clown than you."

"Is it appropriate for a soldier to laugh before his master?"

"Oops! I think I was called in the main kitchen. Excuse me!" Erique hurriedly left as if his life depends on it.

Hindi ko nasundan ang usapan nila, pero isa lang ang masasabi ko: Erique is somehow terrified to trigger Lucius' bizarre personality. Naiwan na naman kaming dalawa— lagi nalang.

"Are you really like that? Talking to people with menace?" I asked him softly despite our distance.

He was at the other side, and a seven-meter flowing shallow river lies between us.

"Did you also consider your recent behavior to be quite menacing?" He asked, satirically.

I let out a small scoff to show off my discomfort. He literally meant 'Seisha's recent attention seeking behavior which led to this day'. He knows how to counter words.

But what happened on that cliff the other day, I apologize if I was over the line."

I don't know if bringing that topic can spark his interest to help me. I badly need to formulate a plan.

"You probably hate me, but I don't really remember anything. I am trying to recollect what I've lost. I don't want to stay behind the sheets forever nor can I wait to let the memories gradually come back."

I always hate how my feelings always get a hold of me. My level of sensitiveness is a thin ice— it breaks without even trying.

"Your Highness, what should I do for you to believe me?"
