SEISHA:

If my behavior is a scene that cannot be easily understand even with the greatest scholar of Zegordia, I can still not level with how foggy Lucius' intentions are.

That annoying facial expression is too good to hide his intent, making me doubt my capability to communicate well.

I was always conscious about how others perceived of me but looking at that expression and his domineering eyes backfired every ounce of confidence I had.

He is too complex to deal with.

"Do I have to explain in detail? You already know why."

This nonchalant man is good at keeping my high blood pressure rise above normal.

Did he find this situation alluring to watch?

"But you did not denote what changed your mind, you simply agreed to what the royal court declared."

After all, he disagrees with the matrimony ever since he knew I am born with a Duexeviz blood. He now approves because he has no choice but to obey the court?

It doesn't make any sense. Especially the part where he looked too casual while we are having this conversation.

Odd and uncomfortable. Iyan ang sitwasyon ngayon.

"My intentions can be seen by action, princess."

"Yet, at some point, we need words to elaborate what our actions meant.

"I am a particular man, and we are in a Kingdom where the people are not allowed to degrade those higher than their ranks. My actions can only be understood by royals, nobles, and the ministers from the court. Why would I bother opening my mouth for things that can be better explained by movements?"

"Mas mahalaga pa din ang salita—"

"Words are forever broken vows, actions are what fuels trust and doubt. Indeed, words can supplement the actions, but it will always remain inferior."

I would be lying if I am not feeling mad with how our conversation is going. Lucius has firm convictions that make him stand elegant and dignified among men in Zegordia.

He is known to be blunt, unbothered, and a sophist. I always find him impalpable, and whether I am wrong, I never felt that Lucius could be genuine.

"Can we go back to my question?" I said, revoking the recent heat. "At least I should know why, to defend myself if I am being asked."

"If they ask, then make your answer lined with their expectations."

Napamaang ako. "What do you mean? By saying: after months of being together, we found each other comfortable and fell in love?"
