SEISHA:

A lot of people have said that life is composed of different colors. Bright ones were intended for joy, happiness, gladness, excitement, serenity, and other synonyms of what I've said.

On the other hand, Dark colors signify sadness, gloom, sorrow, and those coined with lack of light. It appears that people define life as two sets: one having the good sides, and the other where bad sides reside.

Our lives were a plain canvas, and as we grow we put different shades of colors, making it abstract. Abstract art uses things that are far from its true definition, to make people think of what it meant, to widen their perspective and cascade knowledge as they delve into their own mind.

Life has ups and downs, because humans need to understand the concept of life as they grow. As we progress, we learn, we apply, we commit, and we help others.

I've talked much about optimism, but I was never one.

I mean, I could but I failed to. It is too late for me to change, to step out of my shell just because I needed to understand how things are now ending.

The purpose of going through arduous trials just to grow into something you wished to become, and then as you attained it, nothing changed except that the void inside your heart grew deeper as you grow old.

I don't understand why we need to enter the phase of suffering just to understand that life is beautiful in every way.

It never was, it is ugly, complex, cruel, and a fraud. We grow only to realize we were fools. It is too late to change my mind, for I already marked the end of my story.

What I have right now isn't mine.

"Your Highness, the Crown Prince has requested your presence in his mansion."

I did not lift my head when Helena spoke. My gaze settled on the book I was reading.

"Paumanhin, Prinsesa. The Crown Prince was the one who got me the role as your Head Maid when you arrived in the Crown Prince's residence.

"Don't be hard on yourself, Helena.

He indeed changed. He is no longer the poker face Prince to me, he became a soft and understanding individual I did not ask for.

After those moments, he never asked me again. He let my mind speak more than my mouth does, but he stayed.
