I was awoken by Emma who seemed like she had gotten some
nightmares

"Emma? Anything wrong?" she turned to me, she wasn't crying, I'm guessing she was traumatized

She ignored me, I sighed and put my glasses on and sat down beside her

I put my arms around her

We stayed like this until the bell ringed

Children were very noisy in the dining room as I chuckled, hiding any fear I had

"Y/n, please place the dishes with Mark" Mom told us

"Okay, mom!" "Sure!" we responded

A usual morning. As if everything was all a nightmare... But it wasn't

"Listen. We have to act as if we saw nothing. Tonight we broke the rules and went to the gate. But we'll pretend as if we didn't see anything"Norman explained to us as I nodded

Norman, Emma and I were far from the others as they played outside

"Did you two sleep at all?" Norman asked "Mhm" I hummed, nodding my head a bit

"Yeah, but I woke up earlier than usual... This morning, I noticed something for the first time. The house's lattice windows... The screen attachment points can't be reached from the inside, and on top of that, the screw heads have been stripped" Emma explained her report

"That place... Is a cage" We stared at the house

"But the test?" I questioned staring at the sky blankly
