106] A Way Out

They know about the secret pathways. All of the exits are blocked off

"Get back!" Yugo said

{If they find us, we're dead. We need to escape from here. But, how do we do it?}

{Crap...! While he's doing that, the rest of them are surrounding us. If this keeps up, we're all going to be annihilated. What should we do! How do we escape!?..... I know what to do.... WE NEED TO KILL ALL OF THE INVADERS. If we don't do that we're as good as dead. Getting past this ecirclement and breaking through the exit. With this number of people, being able to sneak past, without being noticed is impossible. No, even if we could do that, those guys would definitely chase us down no matter we go. If we want to protect all of our family and friends every one of then has to die. But... They're human beings. Killing a "Human". That's so hard to do! But... I could probably do it, but for Emma, for most of our comrades, something like that is impossible! If we don't, the situation would get out of hand quickly. The enemy has armor... And they probably have nightvision scopes as well. And the gas on top of all that. Also, 60 people people won't be able to move around quickly. They have the advantage mobility. When the gas is gone that's it. Even if we can shootout in front of us, somebody will definitely die. That's no good.
I can't let anyone else die. We need to get out of here quickly. But which way? How can we escape without killing for now? Just one mistake will mean the end for us... We don't know how many they'll use, and from where the enemy will attack}

"Emma! Ray! Y/n!" Oliver called us three and we rushed to him to see Rossi

"Are you alright?" I asked Rossi

"What about Lucas?!" Emma adds

"He's okay. He'll meet us later. He broke the monitors... And he also took down an enemy" Rossi said and started to look for something on him, after he found it and handed it to us "Here"

{A radio? It's the enemies!?}

"I heard it. They were giving orders, while I was on the way here "It's me. Can you all hear this?" The targets are currently retreating east from the first emergency exit. "Surface team, keep alert at the second emergency exit. North and South corridors, as well as the west central end, move out. All units begin to surround them" Rossi explained

"In other words, the enemies current position is-" Ray paused as I started scrubbing on the dirt floor using my finger as a pen

"The North corridor... We can make it!" Emma gasped happily

"Nice job Rossi! This is a huge help!" I exclaimed, patting Rossi on the head

"If only the enemy closing in from the front is at the "North Corridor"... Right now, there's only one pathway that connects to ours they would be able to enter from that passage. Before the enemy comes down the pathway, if we're able to cut across... Their encircle meant will fall apart!" Emma said

" But why does the enemy have a gap like that in their formation... "Oliver wondered

"Actually Lucas is... Making sure that the entry points to the "Secret Room" with the phone as well as the armory below the dining room aren't discovered by the enemy. That's why..." Rossi answered

{That's it!!!}

"Rossi, where is Lucas right now?" I asked

"After breaking the monitors, he was going to the regular exit to get it open" Rossi answered

"That idiot...! It's settled" Yugo said and we started running, Emma was carrying Chris

{Before they notice us, we'll cut through the armory and escape from the regular exit. I'm so glad thanks to Lucas, we've seen a way out. To express my gratitude, "Paula, Oliver and I will go on ahead and help Lucas" "I'll leave it to you"}

We spotted Lucas at the top of the exit and we followed him, turned out he already dealed with the enemies

"Lucas!" The younger kids said hugging him

"Yugo!" Lucas called him

"I'd everybody here? Then, you all run away right this second" Yugo told everyone else

"Huh, what about you!?" Alicia asked

"Lucas and I will come later. It's our duty to make sure that the remaining 6 men don't follow you" Yugo explained

"WAIT THEN LET US TOO!" Gillian proposed

"ME AS WELL!" I added

"No, all of you go on ahead" Lucas said patting the head of Gillian and Violet

"That's final" Yugo teased me

"There's no need for you kids to carry that burden. Leave it to the Grown ups. And besides," Yugo paused grabbing a gas mask from a unconscious person below him "There's only room two adults anyway. With these, their gas and guns won't be as effective" Yugo finished

"But Yugo..." Emma grumbled, I was still with Emma, not really wanting them to risk dying

"Emma, Y/n, this is the very best decision we can make. It'll be okay. We'll catch up soon. Quickly take Christy to a safe place and rest up" Yugo said

Emma gulped "... Got it!"

"Now escape safely" Yugo told us
