おお,永遠の子供たちよ,自分のために立ち上がれ!生き延びる!

Somewhere deep inside of me, I believed that Mom was just like us, A human. Someone that loves us children. A DECLARATION OF WAR. Mom was never kind. It's all an act to us to the Demons.

"She's neither our mother nor human... She's a Demon, an enemy!!" Norman told us

3] The Iron Lady𓁹

Norman, Emma and I were doing our daily chores

{We only have two months. We have to find a way to escape with everyone by then}

"A transmitter... I never thought she would go that far..." Emma said

"Top-of-the-line stuff, huh..." Norman mumbled

{We are top-of-the-line stuff?! Enough for them to go to suck lengths}

"The key to our value is..." Norman paused

"Our age and our scores" Emma continued

""Another six year old.""Just the usual." Extrapolating from what the Demons said, we can assume that our age most likely determines the meat's rank. If I recall correctly, all those who were shipped off were between six and twelve"I said

"And if six years old is the usual, then the top-of-the-line must be.. " Norman paused and looked at Emma

"Twelve years old!" Emma said "Then what about our scores? It's the shipping order!" She snapped her fingers

"We weren't told our scores unless we got a perfect score. That's why we never noticed... Probably..."Prepare the three with full scores for their imminent plucking." Once we turn six, we get harvested in ascending order of our scores. And once we turn twelve years old we get shipped regardless of our score" Norman explained

"So basically our shipment got postponed because of our perfect scores?" Emma said covering her mouth

"I still don't get it though, why rank us by score?" Norman said and I nodded agreeing

"And is there any meaning behind the 6-12 age window?" I questioned

"The size of our body?" Emma suggested

"The size of our brains" Norman and I spat out

"Huh?" said Emma, she did not understand what we had said

He looked at me, wanting me to explain it to Emma

"It's the brain. It's said that the human brain is developed for 90% by the age of six. Others also hold that by twelve it's completely developed... They're after our brains!" I explained it to her

"That means... The brain must be the most delicious. And a well-developed brain even more so! Eat... Our brains...?" Emma said questioning her own realization

{For that goal they'd risk so much and spend even more... That's why we're top-of-the-line stuff}

"First comes the rope. Let's go back to the house and look for it. I actually have an idea where we'll find some" Norman said walking up the stairs to the door

"Wait!" Emma tugged his shirt when he was about to open the door "There's already a transmitter on us, there might be more... Like cameras or bugs..."

"You don't have to worry about that. Later last night, I went to check the house out. There was nothing like that anywhere. I mean, we need to find out how tight the security is first of all if we want to escape" Norman explained to us

"Who would've thought that we were the ones bugged, and not the house. I was careless not to think of that" I mumbled grabbing my left arm

We followed Norman inside

"Mom... Might've already found out... That we went to the wall..." Emma muttered

"I'm not so sure about that. Assuming that last night, she didn't realize that we were there, it would mean that she doesn't know where we are at all times. She only know where we are after checking her watch. If the transmitter's signal could identify us... Then mom would know if the checked last night on the way back or during lunch break... "He paused and turned to us

{We'd be busted. That we went, that we know, that we're going to escape...}

"But that's not the case. At least, I don't believe it is. I don't believe she knows specifically which two of us children were there. Otherwise she wouldn't have made such a roundabout show of warning us. She would've just threatened us directly. So..." Norman paused as Don called out to him

"Sure ok" Norman told him and walked off with him leaving Emma and I alone in the hall

"Oh! I just remembered I had to help the others set the tables" I said rushing off to the dining hall
