11] Spy - Part 1

聞く。。。裏切りの音が聞こえますか?

Mom has "spy"... Among the children? Who... And how many? Anna... Nat? Thoma... Lani... Mark... Don...

"What was his average score again?" Ray asked turning to me

"Who?" I asked

"Phil?" He responded

"Uhh... I believe his most recent average was around 203 or so" I said

"Damn, that's high... In the last game of tag with Sister Krone, he was among the last five remaining kids. He's always looking for the three of you with Sherry..." Ray said

"AGHHHHHH! STOP! YOU'RE SCARING THE WITS OUT IF ME!" Emma yelled curling into a ball on the floor

"You idiot... Learn to doubt people! Even if you don't like it!" Ray told her

"On November 8th, 10 days from today... We will be executing our escape plan" Norman repeated

"WOAH, WOAH, WOAH!!!!" Emma and Ray yelled rushing to him

"Isn't that too much of a rush?! Not that I mind..." Emma yelled at yim

"I MIND!" Ray yelled at her smacking her head

"Mom's goal is to restrict us. That's why "she won't take action until we do". Doesn't that mean we have time then?!" Ray questioned him

"Yeah, that's exactly why" Norman answered, smiling softly

"What do you mean?" I asked confused

"If we're able to figure out that much, mom definitely sees things that way as well. Our goal is to become unpredictable to her! Either way, it's also better for us if we make our escape before winter comes. Anyways, 10 days is plenty of time! We had no idea what mom's next move would be, so we've never been preparing at a very quick pace. All we have to do now is to finish up those preparations within the next 10 days. Mom has no intention of hiding that she has a spy among us in the first place. She isn't necessarily making it obvious either, but if she truly wanted to hide the fact from us, she would make the sister at least act like she's monitoring us, the four eldest. She's trying to trick us into thinking that we have time" Norman explained

"I get it..." I mumbled to myself as I was about to place my dishes on the sink

"I get it... But isn't that realistically impossible?" Ray whispered to Norman

"You'd think that, right? That's why it'll be the best time for us to make our move" Norman smiled

We left the dining room and headed upstairs

{It may be incredibly risky... But we have to get things done in 10 days. And the very first thing on our to-do-list... IS TO TRY TO GET DON AND GILDA TO JOIN US}

"The smaller our teams are, the better chance each team has on survival. First, we'll get those two to join us. If they just do happen to end up being mom's spies, we can figure out what to do from then and there." Norman explained

"... So how are we gonna break the news to them?" I said curiously, Ray nodded

"We've gotta word everything carefully, or else it'll all end up getting tossed to the side of some kind of sick joke by those two" Ray turned to Emma and glared at her "Not everybody is going to just straight up believe everything you two say like I did, ya hear?"

"Well Emma and I were discussing this as well, but to sum it up..." Norman paused

"We won't tell them the truth" Emma continued which made me surprise at their reponse
