Emma used a pocket watch to lead us through the forest, sounded like birds could've been in the forest since I heard chirps and tweets
"It's so big..." The kids said admiring the forest
I helped the younger kids get over a large root blocking our pathway
"Watch your step" I warned them
{Our pace is slowing. They're sleepy and tired. Plus, the ground's covered in roots...}
"Emma" I said, gesturing over to the tired and hungry younglings
"Yeah" She agreed
She turned to our group of children
"Guy's! Let's take a break. We should eat breakfast" Emma told them, the kids started saying "yay" in unison
I started humming as I left Emma and the others alone to watch our surroundings
"That's a nice tune" I immediately turned to that voice surprised
"Emma! Why aren't you eating with the others?" I asked
"I'm keeping at eye out like you" Emma answered, I sighed and smiled at her
"YOOOOOW" Followed with the sound "THUD", Emma immediately panicked
""Yow"?" Emma said panicking, I turned to Ray and furrowed my eyebrows at Ray
"Don't worry" I turned to Emma "This isn't the territory of a Savage beast or anything. I don't see any footprints, claw marks or droppings of that sort. Usually there are traces you can spot. Just like when we play tag"
"You two are too eager. I'll keep watch. You need to rest too" Ray said as he handed us water and food
"Thanks" Emma said, breaking a piece of bread into half and handed me the other piece
"Sorry" Ray said out of no where
"Huh?" Emma hummed
"If I had been cooperative from the beginning... Maybe you wouldn't have hurt your hand or lost an ear" Ray said to Emma
"Don't worry about it. As long as you're alive and smiling, that's all I need" Emma said
"What she said" I said munching on a piece of bread
It was silent for a moment till Ray spoke up "I also apologized to Anna earlier"
Emma and I stayed confused
"You know what she said? "Forget that. Hey, it's your birthday. Happy birthday!" Even though I was about to leave them behind. They still care about me. When I don't deserve it. Emma, Y/n, I'll live. I'll live and protect this family. Everyone in this family, just like you two. This time, for sure, I vow. No matter what happens, I'll never abandon them again. So you don't have to bear this burden all on your own. We'll create it together... A world where we can live as a family. All of us"Ray vowed
Emma and I smiled at him
"Okay!"

We started heading back a direction after we had all eaten breakfast
"So what do we do from here?" Ray asked us, I shrugged because I left it to Emma to decide what're we going to do from now
"I want to get water. You saw the river earlier, right? I want to see if it's drinkable" Emma answered
"A reasonable plan. I've read before that humans will die in three days without water. So we need to get water first. And we may even be able to get food too" I replied
{But... The enemy will assume that's what we'll do}
"And? What about after that? Do you have a plan? Somewhere to go?" Ray asked again
"Yup. We'll head south" Emma said
"South?" Ray and I said in unison, Emma started searching for something in her backpack
"We're going to point B06-32 to see Mr. Minerva" Emma explained
"What's that pen?" Ray asked
"And point B06-32?"I added
"Look. Norman got it from sister Krone" She handed Ray and I a pen, "W.M" that was written on the pen
"Try opening it up. And when we took it apart..." Emma paused on her words
Ray pulled it out more as Emma said when "B06-32"
Suddenly a hologram appeared infront of us like a screen
"What?" Ray mumbled as I was in the same shock he was
"What is this, exactly?" I questioned
"LANI?!" We heard a scream
We rushed to the sound and found Thoma
"What's wrong, Thoma?!" Ray asked him
"Emma! Ray! Y/n! Help!! Lani disappeared!" He said
Our worryness turned to fear
{What? Disappeared?}
"What do you mean?! We're you attacked?! Or did we lose him?" Emma asked him several questiones
Thoma shook his head "No, it's not like that! He suddenly disappeared!! He was walking next to me. Then, when I turned around, he was gone"
After he has said this, we immediately yelled for Lani as Emma grabbed another little kid
"HEY, LANI! STOP MESSING AROUND AND COME OUT!!" Thoma yelled into the air
"LANNI! ANSWER IF YOU CAN HEAR ME!!" I yelled as a sweat trickled down my forehead
"Shh" Ray shushed us
{No answer... Lanni? Why? How did this happen?}
"Ray, I'm going to go look around..." Emma suggested
"Hold it!" Ray told her "Something's weird. Something's not right, Emma. There's no answer. It's not just Lanni. It's weird. Why is no one else reacting?"
We gasped at realization and immediately sprinted towards to an open Feild where we saw the others
"This can't be real" Emma mumbled
{Where's Don? Gilda? Everyone else?}
"Where did everyone go?" I questioned looking for anyone else
