28] Concealment - Part 1

"How'd you find out about the secret... Y/n?" Norman asked

"I forced Ray to tell me" I said, he was shocked for a moment and turned to Ray

{OK, so maybe lying at a time like this isn't good but Ray won't mind that I lied. Im pretty sure he knows when and how I found out}

"When and how did you find out about the secret?" Norman asked

"I knew from the beginning" Ray replied

"Huh?" Emma questioned

{Yeah, this is a happy Orphanage. Normally, you wouldn't realize the truth}

"Do you know what infantile Amnesia is?" Ray asked us first before answering Norman's question

"No" Norman replied

"What is that?" asked Emma

"Yeah" I said, they turned to me

"How far back in your life can you remember?" I asked the two

"To when I was three or four years old?" Norman said

"Me too" Emma replied

"Right? Usually people forget the memories of when they were a baby. That's infantile amnesia. But there are some humans who don't forget" I explained

"So wait, Ray, do you mean...." Norman paused turning to Ray

"I have memories from when I was a fetus" Emma and Norman's eyes widened "My first memory is of being inside a dark, warm liquid. The voice of my mother coming to my ears. A hollow lullaby. I never knew my parents. I only have fragmentary... Peices of a puzzle. Eventually we were divided into groups of five... and passing through a dark tunnel, I arrived here" Ray explained

"One year before coming to this Orphanage?" Emma asked

"Yeah" Ray replied

"Hold on. So past the gate isn't the outside, but..." Norman paused

"Isn't that bad?" Emma tightened her grip on her blanket

"No! That's why the security is light. It's the same beyond that. The pretending to be family and letting us grow freely. That's why I can say for sure they won't increase security. Anyway. About tomorrow... There's no need to be freaked out. Just nullify the tracking device and hide in the forest. Use this"Ray threw some device to Norman and Norman caught it "Press it against your left ear and push the button. That'll nullify the tracking device. If we use this method, it won't notify mom"

"Did you make that from camera parts?" I asked

"Not just the camera. I used parts from all the other rewards I got beforehand. I just wanted the strobe from the camera" Ray answered
